The Best Jewelry Boxes + Storage

This was a big reader request! Whenever I share my little jewelry nook, I get tons of questions about what each of my jewelry boxes is. So, I wanted to get a post up with my favorite jewelry boxes, plus a bunch of other favorites. My personal collection looks like this. My ultra special green velvet box from Aerin (I bought myself this for Christmas a couple of years ago), and my beloved Ariel Gordon jewelry box (this color combo brings me a lot of happiness). On the walls are these Command hooks (lots of them!) to keep my longer beads and chains from getting tangled. I have gotten several little freebies when I’ve bought nice pieces of jewelry (that cobalt case above came from HOWL). Plus lots and lots of pretty little dishes like this gorgeous antique shell!

My Favorite Beaded Jewelry for Spring

If you ask me, there is no better way to add a little color (and texture) to your outfit than with beaded jewelry. The chunky Lizzie Fortunato necklace that I am wearing in the photo above is one of my favorites, but there are so many incredible options in stores right now. I’ve rounded up what I think are the very best, whether you are looking for something subtle or want to go full-on rainbow bright (this BaubleBar strand is an absolute gem, in that case!) This round-up is full of beautiful beads in an array of colors, but I also had to point out these gold beads: cool and unexpected!

Preppy Staples for Spring

While I wouldn’t necessarily describe my personal style as preppy, preppy is definitely in my DNA. I grew up on Cape Cod, the land of boat and totes, cable knits, and faded polo shirts, after all! That said, I’ve found myself really drawn to preppier pieces this season. Swapping out a designer bag for a simple canvas tote. Layering on a rugby shirt or preppy polo under a blazer or with a pair of long shorts. Silky scarves. Boat shoes (there are so many great pairs of boat shoes and moccasins right now!). I like to combine something preppy with something more feminine or classic to keep the look from going full on prep. Here is a little round-up of current favorites!

What’s on My March Wish List

Spring has sprung (at least down here in the South), and I’m popping in with a few things that caught my eye this month. The clothing brand I am loving most right now that is newer-to-me has been With Nothing Underneath, aka WNU. Their boyfriend shirts are everything! Long, lean, but still nice and slouchy. I started with this one, bought two more, and now I want this one! I may never buy another button-up. This mini tote cracks me up (the perfect conversation starter, in my opinion), and per usual I am coveting everything Dries van Noten (probably my favorite splurge designer these days) especially these silk pants and this sequin bag. Last but not least, long shorts! (and recreating this look). We’ll have a whole round-up and styling series (coming soooooon), but this pair is pretty perfect.
