Sunday Crafts – Signed, Sealed, Delivered.

The tradition of sealing letters with wax is an ancient one.  For years, people would have their own custom seal made (from lead, bronze, brass, etc.)  This was a tradition and actually common, and most everyone had their own seal.

To say it quite bluntly, I’m not too jazzed about my appearance right now.  I got busy, and got out of the routine of getting to the gym regularly.  It’s time to pick up the pieces and get my act together.  No ifs, ands, or buts about it.  Eating healthfully, working out regularly, getting to yoga, laying off the sauce.

More self-torture… (yes, I’m online window shopping again…)  While perusing J.Crew this morning, I stumbled upon this cashmere cowl sweater.  I just adore the row of buttons running up the side.

Oh, Weekend…

Friends!  The weekend is almost here!  I’m looking forward to a busy but lazy one.  Tonight is yoga and a fun dinner, and tomorrow I plan on being as lazy as possible.  Wearing my favorite Aviator Nation hoodie, staying cozy in Vineyard Vines lounge pants, and sipping my iced coffee.  A good long bath with treats from Lush is also in order.  It’s been a long week and I’m in dire need of a movie marathon.

Every now and then I like to torture myself by perusing Net-a-Porter, admiring all of the lovely things that I could never afford, and probably wouldn’t buy even if I could.  In this “fantasy department,” Lanvin never lets me down.  Each of their dresses are an architectural wonder.  The sort of pieces that just stop you in your tracks.  On a practical note, both of these could work year round… in the winter with black tights and ankle boots, but equally stunning for a summer wedding.  Oh, if only…
