Weekend Reading, 8.22.20

I took this photo last weekend. Being out east, even for just a night, really made me crave greenery, fresh air, and… a hammock!!!! I definitely need more hammocks in my life. I had considered getting one for my patio but it wouldn’t have worked in the space. And I have been really craving outdoor space and greenery lately. My little patio definitely helps with that but man, I miss Cape Cod, the mountains, anywhere, really!!!

Swimming in a lake sounds really really good right now. I hope you had a good week. It was a quiet, cozy, relatively uneventful week over here. I was proud of myself as I did Melissa Wood Health every single day (I follow her weekly calendar and really love the quick daily workouts!) We recorded twice for the podcast (book club drops next week, be sure to pick up The Comeback if you haven’t already!!), I had some calls for brand projects, and I read a lot. What else is new? 😉 Have a good one… happy weekend-ing! XOXO

Grace, great links this week! Love love love dazzle dry, it keeps your nail polish on for a solid week. I’ve never been a gel person always regular polish but with increase hand washing and sanitizer I found my polish was chipping fast. Highly recommend dazzle dry to fix that issue!

I will never go back to gel manicures after trying dazzle dry—lasts so long and feels so much healthier on my nails.

Great roundup! I’m so picky about these kind of posts, and yours are always worth the time. When you say “quick daily workouts” how quick is quick?

Usually around 20-40 minutes!!! Most days there’s one video, and others there’s like say 12 min abs and 15 min arms… short but HARD!

I just started a job that has me on my feet more than I’m used to. Took a lord jones cbd bath earlier this week and a mustard seed one last night! Consider me influenced. Have a great rest of your weekend.

A good reminder to stop and take a break! And I might add taking some time off as well. I feel like without the ability to travel much, many people feel like further postponing taking time off but it’s so needed after all we’ve been through this year. I am just about to finish my holidays and man it felt good to be totally disconnected!

Just sneaking back in to say I finished Dark and that everyone should watch it… it is the best show I’ve ever seen BY FAR. It broke my heart in the best way possible and I am beyond impressed by the fact that someone actually came up with (and very smoothly resolved) such an intense and complicated plot. I am in love, about to watch it again ❤️

I do think Dazzle Dry lasts longer than standard polish (still chips though, it’s not durable like gel), but I hated the brush! It was a wider, flat rectangular shape instead of the rounded shape I prefer. I’m also just not very savvy with nail polish though :p

I needed to read that article about emotionally vulnerable as I have been talking about it with my therapist a lot lately.

Also, RomComs after 30, PLEASE. I just had this conversation with a married friend who literally could have had a movie made about her life.

    Have a great weekend, Grace!
