Happy weekend! I am out in LA. A jam packed Monday and Tuesday in Charleston and then I flew out on Wednesday morning. I’m here through Monday and then it’s back home for me. We both have quite a bit of work but we have made some fun plans! Today we are doing a tour of The Eames House which has been on my list forever but the pandemic had it closed for a while and tickets go fast whenever they are released. Tomorrow, we’re going to Catalina Island for the day… I’ve never been and can’t wait!

I love your content and have a book rec for you. The Cherry Robbers by Sarai Walker. It’s creepy and dark at times, has an artistic connection and a deeply feminist message. A fantastic book that I think you’d enjoy! It would make a good book club pic for your BOP gals, too.
Thanks so much for the rec!
I just loved this whole post . I love the way you share such great things with us so I really do feel like you are a friend that I could have a coffee with and I care about your life and your family too . Loved the Hampton Condo resort . I went from Country to Contemporary in a second . I could live there. I really had to fight with myself not to buy something this week and reason it out that for my present lifestyle that I had more than enough things to wear that I did buy so many times you wore. I’m so grateful I could do that. It’s getting hot now and so I can wear my nap dresses and that slip will be great if my white Madewell dress Sophia dress on sale fits me . I hate making returns . Hope you are having a wonderful week there❤️
Aw I am so happy that you enjoyed it, Lynn! xx
Have fun in Cali! I’ve noticed quite a few bloggers linking to Half baked harvest recipes— she’s known to copy other smaller bloggers recipes aka stealing them then pass them off as her own. I’ve made some and have always been underwhelmed, highly recommend Gimme Some Oven for mains and Cooking with Karli for desserts. These female business owners post original content, and if they’ve taken parts from others they designate the credit.
Oh wow, noted. I have been such a big fan of hers but had no idea. Will check out the others.
Half Moon Bay is great, I grew up in the area (our go-to beaches were San Gregorio or Poplar). It would be a good stop on a road trip through Big Sur heading north to SF. My fam always does cocktails at the Ritz in HMB (get the smores kit if it’s evening) around the fire pits out back and dinner at Sam’s or Mezza Luna for special occasions. I just did the Outstanding in the Field in secret cove just south of HMB in Pescadero earlier this month and it was a pretty magical experience 🙂
Think it would be such an amazing trip!
I live in Half Moon Bay and loved the article about the local woman with a surf school. It is worth coming here on a road trip one day. In addition to what was mentioned in the article, there’s a new gelato place on Main Street and the best wine bar, Vinoteca.
Thank you for sharing.
