My Favorite Sequin Pieces

I am not afraid to admit it: I love sequins. Love them. My lifestyle right now is not very sequins-forward, but I imagine myself one day, living in a posh retirement community and meeting my girlfriends to drink martinis and play Mahjong (wearing head-to-toe sequins on a Tuesday). I actually only own a few sequin pieces, because as much as I love them, they don’t make it out very often. But the pieces I own are solid and extra special. I have a few caftans from La Vie Stylehouse that I love pulling out for a fancy occasion, and I bought the Blaze Milano jacket above a couple of years ago. Despite not getting much wear, it remains a top-ten favorite piece in my closet. Last year, for an event, I styled it with my emerald green La Ligne Colby pants and felt like a million bucks.

5 Fun, Festive Party Outfits

Tis the season of getting all dolled up! I have done a pretty good job managing my calendar and not overcommitting too much, and I feel proud of that! Still, I have a few nights a week where I am getting dressed up, in which case I have favorite outfit combinations I like to lean on. A matchy-matchy silk set (paired with structured accessories to keep it from looking like pajamas). A fabulous mini dress, tights, and heels. Flowy La Ligne satin Colby Pants with something fitted up top. I could go on, but I will just say, I hope this post inspires you while getting dressed up. Whether you treat yourself to a new party dress or accessory, or shop your closet and put things together you already own in a new way, it’s about having FUN. Because otherwise, what’s the point?

November. The most important month of the year. And no, I’m not talking about gratitude season. I’m talking about my season of birth. Scorpio season came and went with the force of a full-blown Wicked: For Good cyclone, and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. My birthday month always sends me into a spiral of reflection, everything from the past year to the past version of myself to the past contents of my closet. The usual.
