Pining For: All Things Kate Spade

Over the weekend, with my mom in town, we popped into Kate Spade, aka The World’s Happiest Store. Anytime you need a lift in your mood, I highly recommend popping inside. Everything is just so lovely – the displays, the merchandising, the packaging… and obviously, the merchandise itself.

Sunday Crafts – J.Crew inspired Knotted Twist Bracelet

When I saw this bracelet at J.Crew, I went a little bit nuts. (It’s even better in person.) I love the combination of vintage-y looking chains with pearls – it’s the sort of thing you can wear with a t-shirt and jeans or to a dressier event as well.

What I bought today…

After a long day of wedding dress shopping with my mom and sister (we found the dress for my sister… so exciting… I wish I could say more about it, but I’m sworn to secrecy right now.) I stumbled in to Ann Taylor. A large “40% off everything” sign lured me in, although I swear it had to have been fate as I haven’t bought anything from Ann Taylor since college, when I needed an “interview suit.” Upon entering the store, I started to feel light-headed almost immediately. So much cute clothing. So many great striped tops, so much navy blue, just pure amazing-ness. (Wow, Ann Taylor, you’ve come so far from your days of high-waisted pants and boxy jackets!) My favorite thing in the store is probably this. I brought it home with me – couldn’t say no to the gold button details on the shoulder… obsessed!

Dot it Down..

My love of stripes is (obviously) no secret. But there’s another pattern that is takes a close second place in my book. Enter, polka dots. And this Spring has such lovely dotted pieces! Whether you decide to splurge on the j’amazing Miu Miu sandals, or treat yourself to the adorable Forever 21 cosmetic case, you really can’t go wrong. I would die for the sandals, but my favorite pieces are from the Outnet… (that Walter dress… sigh.)
