It’s Here!

One of my daily reads (no matter how busy I am,) is Who What Wear.  The editors, Hillary Kerr and Katherine Power are geniuses.  They take celebrity style and the hottest trends and recreate it, making it accessible for the rest of us with pieces from Top Shop, Forever 21, Urban Outfitters, etc.  I can’t tell you how many times I’ve bought a piece of clothing that I saw on their site.  So, when their first book came out in 2009, I ordered it immediately.  It was an amazing resource and helped me to refine my own personal style.  And now the next one is here.

What I Bought Today..

These shorts are just perfection, no? Summer is so far away, but I couldn’t resist springing for these anyway when I saw them featured on Nautical by Nature today.  Navy + anchors = I die just a little.  They’re the perfect wear-with-everything weekend shorts.  Obsessed.  I can’t wait to wear them with all my striped tees this summer.  Get your own here (for $44.50.)  To note:  The J.

More DVF Obsessing…

I don’t usually like to post too much about one designer but after writing my last post about DVF’s new line, I hopped on Shopbop to take a look at her current collection.  In addition to the striped dresses I wrote about the other day, I found two more fabulous frocks… First there is this “Bec” dress which is the sort of thing I wear to work in my imagination.  The reality is, I don’t have anything quite this fabulous.  Love it though, it’s the perfect antidote to an LBD rut (which I’m totally in right now…]] And then there is this “Naudia” dress (although I prefer it most in the light fawn shade, here… it’s just so perfect – from the drapy silk fabric to the bow to the details on the cuffs of the sleeves.  I love.

DIANE by DVF – Everything Old is New.

If you read this blog regularly, then you know I love my DVF.  I mean what’s not to love – bold colors, fantastic prints, flattering cuts… I could go on.   Anyway, Diane has got some exciting news for us.  She is launching a new line – titled just DIANE.  What makes this collection so special is that this collection will stem from classic vintage prints (from her first collection, which launched 40 years ago, in the seventies.)  If you are anything like me, whenever you pop into a thrift store, there’s a tiny part of you that dreams of finding one of DVF’s vintage wrap dresses.  Well, now you don’t have to!
