Weekend Reading 9.17.22

This was a really nice week. It’s starting to cool off in Charleston (we’re in the low eighties, haha) which is really nice. The highlight for me was definitely seeing Elton John. I had never seen him live before and he had always been really high up on my list. This is his farewell tour (though that’s been going on for a while) and I feel really lucky to have gotten to see him before he retires for good! My friends and I dressed up, rented a party bus, and had the best time. This weekend, we are celebrating Tyrion’s ninth birthday (catnip + toys!) and have fun dinner reservations tonight. Tomorrow, I am hoping to get to the beach! Have a wonderful weekend… I hope you enjoy this week’s list! xox

So impressed by the owner of Patagonia. Wow.

A very good white blouse (it’s selling out quickly!).

I am deeply excited for the new Julia Roberts/George Clooney romantic comedy. Coming 10/21.

The best new releases over the next two weeks. Movies, books, TV, etc!

I have a few parties coming up and purchased this silky black mini dress (as seen in my fall dress edit).

Speaking of party dresses, this one is fun, a great price, and on trend.

Congratulations to Magpie on a beautiful rebrand. (this week, I loved this essay about the modern thriller!)

Ooh: this under $40 chunky turtleneck looks so cozy!

This roasted acorn squash recipe looks so good.

All about the costume design for Do Revenge.

I got these gold platform sandals this week and they are amazing (and comfortable!)

35 soup recipes!

This cute cropped turtleneck just got marked down.

Loved this: a global map of the world’s best restaurants.

Behind the scenes of Allure Best of Beauty.

Loving these oversized stripes.

Wow, this Northern England estate was very fun to look at!

The 85 best movies of all time.

If you like the look of fall’s barrel jeans but don’t want to shell out, Old Navy has a great pair!

25 brands making really great plus-size clothing right now.

What a stunning tunic dress.

It comes in a bajillion colors and would be great with tall boots.

How to say goodbye at a party.

The best gifts for cat lovers.

A cute, affordable alternative to the Gucci loafers.

This pasta recipe looks absolutely heavenly. Lemon + crispy prosciutto? Yum.

Loving the look of this wrap sweater: perfect for all of fall’s high rise pants.

Is anything cool anymore?

I ordered this emerald green dress this week. I don’t know if the cut-outs are going to work (and the neckline) but I thought it was really chic at a great price so here we are. Speaking of cut-outs, you loved this one and it’s back in most sizes.

The best US destinations to visit in your thirties.

I am a big fan of Athena Calderone; her new Crate & Barrel collection is just stunning.

Loving these wide leg jeans. I take my true denim size which is a size up from my usual Madewell size, if that makes sense?

Really loved this bathroom makeover. (Also, really want heated bathroom floors!)

I love this house. The decor and art is just perfect.

The thought of fall and not being in New England this yea makes it feel a bit sad for this birthday . I had a tooth pulled this week and it hurt so I dived in a book. “The Idea Of You”. I have a book hangover this morning for sure . Addictive . Wow !!! Thanks for the recommendation!
