Weekend Reading 7.25.20
dress // bag // mask

How was your week? It was busy in these parts with a bunch of brand deadlines and projects and so on and so forth. I had drinks with my friend Emily which was really nice but I mostly just hunkered down and worked and read books and tried to stay as positive as possible? For me, July has (far and away!!!) been the hardest/most challenging month of quarantine/COVID life so far. I’ve just been down, missing my family especially my parents (this is the longest I’ve gone without seeing them), and in an overall funk that nothing can shake!

Last night I stayed in and watched Clueless and The Holiday (a random mix but they are two of my comfort movies!) and also started this puzzle which is shockingly v v hard (so a big SORRY to those of you who bought it because of me. I will say I’m kind of enjoying the challenge. It’s distracting?) In brighter news, I have a lot of fun links for you this week so I hope you enjoy them… and that you have a great weekend! XO

Weekend Reading 7.25.20

My mom is the cutest and knows how much I love peonies. Here’s how to grow them in containers.

Very into this affordable floral mini dress!

Celebrating tomato season!

The 50 most impactful Black books from the past 50 years.

The prettiest block print dress!

On becoming a morning person

These are literally the cat’s pajamas. So fabulous.

John Lewis and the danger of gradualism.

My aunt sent me this trick to revive a dying plant. I haven’t tried it yet but I’m curious!

It’s def too warm to wear right now but this lightweight trench is great – and a fantastic price.

The best air bnb’s in CA. Makes me want a trip so badly!

Love this fluffy little bag!

The best teen movies!

Erica and Claire (love their newsletter!) linked to this helpful explanation of the Gen Z aesthetic and I think I finally understand this whole “intentionally ugly” thing. I feel old.

This little chill pill necklace is a fav… and also a chic way of reminding myself to calm down.

mmmmm… mango chili ginger popsicles!

I did a bit of damage at Mango this week. To be honest I don’t shop there much, so I will let you know how it goes! I got this little linen dress, this flowy white midi, and these wooden hoops!

Loved Krystal’s summer bucket list!

Welp this Milan apartment is pretty much the dream!

This H&M dress is only $20 and looks designer. That’s all.

OMG Ben + Dunkin’.

This is a life goal for me, I think.

Such a pretty navy sundress… at a really good price.

Jacey has such good taste: loved her outdoor dining essentials.

OMG Holly Howard’s apartment is so colorful and CHIC. (And uses a bunch of my sister’s fabrics!)

Another great Target dress!

So excited about the Rodham TV series!

Persifor is doing a big sale – 50% off sitewide! Some picks: one of my fav white tops, these shorts (SO comfy and great in the heat), and the dress I bought my mom.

As a mythology fan, I loved this book list!

This Paris apartment is a collector’s dream. Wow, just… WOW!

Super into this classic striped tee!

Living room design rules to break!

I heard you and Becca on Girls Gotta Eat and immediately started listening to Bad on Paper (I have so many of your past book club picks on hold at the library now), and now I check The Stripe everyday! Just wanted to let you know what a little spark of joy in this quarantine darkness you and Becca have been for me over the past few weeks!
