Happy Saturday! This week hasn’t been bad. I’ve been focusing on those little micro-joys which is really my best advice for anyone struggling right now. Little everyday things that bring you joy like a big mug of coffee, your favorite PJs, a good book, a walk in the sunshine. Right now, everything I’m looking forward to revolves around my patio. I’ve purchased a bunch of things to spruce it up (privacy faux ivy, a turf runner, a little love seat) and the thing that is making me happiest is whipping up a pitcher of cocktails and having a friend “over” for a patio cocktail. The long, narrow shape helps… while trickier to furnish, it’s lovely for social distancing!
I’m planning on buying some tomato plants and maybe some other veggies (TBD, I’m nervous!) this weekend to start a little garden. Other than patio time and valiant attempts at domesticity I’m planning on some long walks, making it through a pile of books, and grabbing to-go lobster rolls with Becca – it is MDW, after all! Have a great long weekend, friends and also ICYMI here is my guide to the best Memorial Day Sales! Xoxo

Okay I get what Vogue is saying here, but Harry was ROBBED.

I love orange wine and want to learn more about it, but it’s hard to find… on Helena’s rec I signed up for Orange Glou!
This really just is the prettiest top. I love that the body of the blouse is a jersey material… it’s really soft and easy to tuck in, etc.
Is homemaking the new self-care? Why we’re all suddenly playing pioneer woman.
My fav fabric face mask for walks. The spandex jersey makes it more breathable. She has a lot of other styles (and solids!) if tie-dye isn’t for you!
Brilliant: Crayola partnered with MAC to expand its skin tone shade range.
Yum – homemade peanut butter cups!
Speaking of micro-joys: my ice roller! I’ve been using mine every morning. Read more about ice rolling in this blog post.
Such fun bathroom decor inspiration.
I love the rainbow leg on these cozy sweatpants!
Jacey’s “pamper room” is a wonderful idea – someday I will have a house and def want a room just for me!
This $25 kaftan looks like expensive vintage.
The Cuomo brothers’ sibling rivalry makes me laugh.
These have become my favorite jeans.

The perfect white blazer for $99.
The best 90’s romcoms to binge NOW!
Worthy Threads sent me one of their amazing tie-dye sweatsuits and I love it so much! If you are still looking for some fun quarantine tie-dye and want to support a cool small biz, check them out! (I also love this etsy shop for a less expensive option – Becca and I got matching embroidered sweatshirts!)
Cute ways to style a graphic tee.
A fun science-y read: the essential moisturizer components.
Still living in (and loving) my plastic birks. I have the mango and highly recommend!
Love this gorgeous bohemian Brooklyn apartment.
This is the ideal house dress. More fun house/nightgown dresses in this post!
Ooh yum – this citrus ginger mojito sounds SO GOOD!
OK these shiny fabric face masks look really fun!
Micro-joys are the way to go. I think not only for now but in general, they are great to cultivate for finding happiness in the little things, which especially now comes handy. I love the fact that I “invested” a bit of time in building habits and an environment that I love – from the daily, okay twice a day Nespresso coffees to my personal workspace at home that I love to work at, dream and plan the future. They come so in handy now I (mostly) don’t get tired of being at home.
Such a good attitude and reminder that we can and must be responsible for our own happiness. Thank you for sharing!

Couldn’t agree more! Thanks for the note!
Would you mind sharing what size you got in the embroidered, tie dye sweatshirt from Etsy?
It hasn’t come in the mail yet, so can’t speak to the fit but I ordered a large bc I want it to be big and oversized. (I’m usually a small or medium in tops)
I get what Vogue was saying too, but agree Harry was robbed! Harry was my favorite SATC guy, for sure. Do you listen to the Bradshaw Boys podcast? It’s a group of guys watching SATC. Very funny! They just got to the Harry episodes. I’m excited because I knew they would love Harry. Anyway, thanks for the great post Grace, you are definitely keeping me entertained while I shelter at home!
I don’t but that sounds like a great quarantine distraction! Thanks for the rec!
Ooh, your patio sounds fab! Would love to see it when it’s completed. Have a great weekend, Grace! ❤️✨

I almost didn’t click on the ‘Harry was Robbed’ link assuming it was One Direction/Harry Styles related- not my cup of tea. Realizing it was SATC was beyond refreshing and I wholeheartedly concur with your thoughts.
Haha 😉
Oh my gosh the gaining weight article was exactly what I needed and so well written! I’ve been putting a lot of pressure and guilt on myself for not being as productive around the house/cooking etc as I should have been considering the amount of time on my hands. And after seeing memes targeted at weight gain, or seemingly everyone and their mother exercising on social media it’s so refreshing to read an article that “lets” you remove some blame from yourself and just let yourself be ok with who you are.
Oh GOOD I am so glad – I feel the same way!
