Weekend Reading | 5.18.19

happy weekend, friends! I BARELY have plans this weekend which will be so nice. Last night my best friend came down and we had a sushi/movie night, today I’m trying a new class at Tracy Anderson and then visiting with my sister and her baby and that is IT! It feels like this weather is hopefully turning around so hopefully there will be a little bit of sunshine to enjoy… I plan on getting to Domino Park at some point to bask in the sun and read.

A fun travel post: where to find this year’s Pantone color of the year (it’s a pretty coral)!

The book I can’t put down – will probably finish it this weekend.

Such a gorgeous botanical print top. (Plus version here.)

In this week’s book to movie news, this has me SO EXCITED!!!!

As a Jean Godfrey-June super fan I LOVED this feature on her morning routine!

I know I talked about it on the blog earlier this week but this is my absolute favorite serum right now.

Loved this finance article: just buy the f*cking latte!

Totally obsessed with this white eyelet dress – so pretty!

Loved reading Krystal’s daily habits. Also, that blue dress!

Why complaining can be good for your friendships!

The new M.M. Casual line is so good. I adore these culottes, can’t stop wearing them!

The coolest fashion pieces right now.

I generally avoid jumpsuits as I always end up wrinkling the crotch/stomach area when I sit down. This one looks promising!

Anyone else SO EXCITED for season 2 of Big Little Lies!?

Loved this list of the best flats ever.

I got my hair done this week and the stylist used this texturizing spray. It smells SO good and held my beachy waves in place for (literally) days!

What successful people know but don’t say (thought this was interesting!).

A reader (thank you @mrsaureliaa) DM’d me this pretty rainbow dress and I ordered it immediately.

Loved seeing my friend Briony’s beauty favorites (we have so many of the same favorites!)

This pineapple mint sangria sounds amazing – I am definitely going to make it for my next party.

Love love love the raffia details on these sandals.

If you’re shopping for a new swimsuit, consider this list of sustainable swimwear brands.

Kinda just love this cheeky tee.

How running can improve your mental health.

Thought this was super interesting – the top ten food trends for this year.

I’m not really a sneakers girl but these are right up my alley (and 35% off with code HISUMMER)

Yikes: no more walnut face scrubs for me.

I definitely need these earrings – so unique and special!

The best non-toxic nail polishes.

Loved this: how to mentally and financially prepare for summer.

How to take a compliment.

3 of My Favorite Spring Fragrances.

One of my favorite totes got a fun (rainbow striped!) makeover.

Something I get asked a lot, too: where to buy plants in New York! (Chelsea Garden Center is my favorite.)

I really liked the “What successful people know but don’t say” piece. I think it’s the same across industries, not only the creative space. The one important thing is to stay self-aware and keep working hard knowing that it’s a process and it takes time to master any art/skill – which at the end of the day it’s a natural and normal process for anyone.
