Happy weekend! I have a low key one ahead. Brunch with Chassity today, dinner with my family tonight, and (hopefully depending on her mood/nap schedule) a play date with my niece tomorrow. Something fun from this week: Victoria and I finalized all the fonts, new brand colors, new logo, the home page layout… all of it this week and that feels really good. The new site and branding won’t launch until early summer (and YES the new books page will be searchable) but I am so beyond excited about it, it looks really really good and just feels very very me. Have a wonderful weekend, and jusssst in case you missed them yesterday you can shop my Sephora sale picks right this way.

Thank you for sharing the Cup of Jo post on the Chris Rock/Will Smith situation. I kept getting this uneasy feeling every time I tried to have an opinion on the situation, and that post crystallizes why. I’m glad to see such a thoughtful discussion of the situation. It’s so much more complex than most of us know.
Agreed. The CoJ post really got it right.
Hope you have a fab weekend with your plans Grace! I’m rewatching all of Discovery of Witches and looking forward to looking more into the links here. I have Merritt’s podcast lined up for my drive to campus this week
SUCH a good show!
I hope you feel how much we all love and appreciate the Weekend Reading. It’s my favorite Saturday email! The variety and diversity are always spot on. Loving all the Anthro right now! I kind of forget about them but I’m definitely getting that last maxi you linked. I want to add to the list of cookbooks for spring- Half Baked Harvest just released her 3rd cookbook on 3/29 and I am so excited to receive my copy!
I am so glad you love them, and thank you – I am a huge half baked harvest fan and need to order!
As an introvert, I truly don’t know how you do what you do. I admire you and am sorry you had such a rough week. Your blog always gives me great ideas, and I appreciate the emotional honesty with which you write. Hope you have a great weekend!
Thank you, I appreciate that!
Grace
Oh gosh, apprehensive here about the layout change. So many blogs going for these large icons, strange graphics —so many complaints about the Cup of Jo site changes, for instance. The navigation is so hard! Love the simplicity of your site here and your font you use… fingers crossed for the changes here ( loooong Time reader!)
