Weekend Reading 3.19.22

Happy Saturday. As I write this on Friday, I have a relatively plans-free weekend except for a fun lunch on Sunday. I am looking forward to it. It seems like we were all pretty tired (and also extra-hungry?) this week thanks to daylight savings time. I talked about that a little on stories and was relieved to hear that I was not alone… we’re all feeling it! It is wild how just a one-hour shift can throw everything off! Anyway. I hope you have a wonderful, restful weekend ahead. xx

How to work on a team as an introvert.

Possibly my new favorite workout and/or lounging pullover. It’s comfy, long + lean, and the gold zippers are everything.

These mezcal cocktails sound fabulous.

The best stuff (TV, movies, books, etc) coming out… I’m excited for Pachinko!

Super intrigued by Vuori’s new-ish boyfriend joggers. Has anyone tried them?

A peek inside the new Caribbean Soho House.

Loving the idea of tropical wide leg pants like this and this. I’d pair either with this top!

Liz rounded up some amazing-sounding easy weekday lunch ideas.

This ginger-miso salad dressing (described as drinkable!) sounds like heaven.

The time felt right for a third pair of Birkenstocks. I ordered these in the orange suede!

Do I need to give habit tracking a try?

I’ve been loving this glycolic mask. Effective, but gentle.

The most beautiful small towns in Europe.

The best air fryer recipes!

Reminds me of my gingham Apiece Apart dress… but for under $100.

Helpful: “Trolls aren’t like the rest of us.”

For rough, bumpy arms (thanks winter skin) nothing is better than this scrub.

Behind The Met’s huge overhaul.

Loved this piece from Jen:

The antonym of curiosity.

My favorite stripe tee now comes in green!

25 famous women on achieving success later in life.

I ordered this pretty fuchsia dress this week – just such a happy color!

An interview with Véronique Hyland – I loved her new book!

Oooh look, a brand new Airwrap! I am intrigued by the new attachments.

Oh this is a very cute white top.

One year after the Atlanta shootings: how Asian women are healing.

On saving for retirement in your thirties.

I have a big event coming up next month and sprung for this L’Agence dress. I can’t wait to wear it.

The real life Newport mansions that inspired The Gilded Age.

Tips for organizing your bookshelf.

How fun are BaubleBar’s customized blankets? Love!

How fun is this East Village apartment!? Love all the color.

Is there such a thing as liking certain things too much? I would not say I’m addicted to bags or shoes or cocktails or sweets at all. I would say guilty that I’ll buy something I see recommended by you or more if my week or day was very difficult though . That’s something as I try hard to do is to age gracefully and I need to understand that once it worked very well , but now I have to just admire it. I don’t usually spurge, but I have done some the last month . Towels , good sheets , a great bag and I decided to go for an overnight trip with my husband who has dementia . I realize how lucky we are to live with freedom and shelter and food when I see this war . It totally breaks my heart . We all have to appreciate those good moments and know in seconds our life can change . I’ve loved much and I’ve lost much , but a little escape in my head reading your blog , a great book and seeing the pretty things you wear is just such fun! Right now is the time to seize the moment with my sweetie , put on a pretty dress and enjoy the Sea breeze and a lovely couple moment I think.
