Weekend Reading 3.16.24

This was a fun week and this weekend, I am finishing up my taxes! Riveting stuff, I know. But there are fun things too. My mom and I are attending a design week talk this afternoon and I’m going to a walking tour with one of my favorite local artists tomorrow. Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy this week’s list! xo

In April ‘22 we were staying at the Hilton Financial district in San Francisco. One night I was VERY hungover but wanted to check out Michael Mina’s Estiatorio Ornos a short walk away. We didn’t have reservations or the budget to eat in the dining room, but there were two seats available at the GORGEOUS bar. I initially ordered a vodka-club soda and then watched what was clearly a brilliant young bartender make custom drinks for the couple next to us. For drink two I asked him to make me something simple like a vodka-soda but … fancier. He DELIVERED. I think the restaurant is permanently closed now, but I will remember that bartender forever.

I’m kind of bummed about the movies – seems like a lot of remakes and sequels
