Weekend Reading | 11.16.19

happy weekend! I will be honest, this week definitely kicked my butt! I have a cold and work was a bit chaotic, and I also had several events where I had to be “on.” This isn’t a complaint as I got to do a lot of cool stuff this week… And I just wish I felt better! So I stayed in last night (pajamas by 7!) with Tyrion and my friend Stanley to watch movies and eat pizza and be a bit of a vegetable.

Today I gave myself permission to just be really lazy and chill. I took a nap, I stared at my phone, I was just… incredibly lazy! Tonight my sister and I are going out for sushi – it’s becoming our tradition I think. We take each other out to a nice Omakase for our birthday, We did Nakazawa for mine and Katsuei is tonight! We’re both very into sushi and since she’s had a baby it’s been harder to have “just us” sister time! I have lots of fun links for you – hope you enjoy them… have a great weekend!

Becca and I talked to Vogue to give them our favorite celebrity memoirs. Becca’s was very funny!

I was in the market for a new black blazer and bought this one and this one (only planning to keep one!) Will report back on which one I like more! Was looking for something cute that I could layer with jeans and a cami or over a mini dress with boots.

V excited about Katie Sturino’s latest collection for Stitch Fix!

Blair always inspires me to experiment with color pairings. This post is chock full of great inspiration.

I gushed about it on instagram stories but this fur remover tool is the best thing I’ve bought in ages. It gets rid of ALL fur. I used it to clean Tyrion’s blankets, my chaise lounge, my couch… even my curtains! Amazing!

Okay I am SO excited for Season 2 of You!

I splurged on this dress for parties, events, etc. and it’s PERFECT. Such a fun party dress.

Loving Modern Love’s “tiny love stories!”

Really loved this profile on Garance Dore. She’s one of my all time favorites on the Internet and while I’m definitely not as “cool” (what does that even mean) as her, she’s someone I really relate to.

Very into these fuzzy leopard slippers!

Turns out Dan Humphrey wasn’t the original Gossip Girl (whoa).

I bought this sweater this week. I love the zipper detail, the oatmeal color (pretty on blondes) and it’s a great price!

Hmm! Prince Charles is launching a fashion line?

Relatable, ha! What to do if you are an introvert and want to immediately leave a holiday party.

Tanya Taylor launched pajamas (upcycled from remnant fabrics) and they are divine. They gifted me a pair and they’re my new fav thing.

Foods that battle depression.

Oh…. just a bunch of stuff I never knew I wanted or needed.

Such a cute striped tee for only $19! In plus sizes here.

This is a fun idea for a Thanksgiving tablescape.

I bought these fun silver sequin pants (size up – I got a large) to wear to holiday parties with a fuzzy sweater when it’s just too cold for dresses. (These are fun too, for something a little more subtle!)

Made me LOL: the Pete Buttigieg campaign diet!

Love that Tom Hanks is playing Mister Rogers!

This leopard dress is a brand new favorite – it’s so fun and looks way more expensive than it actually is  – size up though!

VERY intrigued by Dr. Barbara Sturm’s skincare routine. I love her products!

For my frequent travelers: 3 ways to upgrade to business without paying full price.

A few more fancy candles to try out.

Love this $40 sherpa pullover – the only question is which color is best!?

Continually just so excited for the new Ralph Lauren documentary.

Because we all need a rainbow fair isle sweater!

Oh wow I want this smart coaster! What a clever idea.

Love what Hyatt is doing to reduce the waste of single use plastic.

Wow, a lot to discuss here. First of all, you & Becca talked to Vogue?! Very casual, just like I talk to my cat. ;-). Regarding Gossip Girl, I could see it being Eric, but definitely not Nate. I feel like Dan makes the most sense though, like it was supposed to be him from the start. I love the article on Mayor Pete’s campaign diet!

Agree on your gossip girl thoughts and laughing because I just loved the Mayor Pete article so much and I don’t really know why. It was just interesting!!!
