I am admittedly very excited about the resurgence of jelly shoes. As with many things, it started with The Row. I would be lying if I said I did not immediately covet a pair when they first launched. I just couldn’t pull the trigger. I have heard from friends that they’re the most comfortable of all the options, thanks to a cork footbed. I really like the red but I resisted. There are trends where I am okay splurging, ultimately this wasn’t one of them (as cute as they are!).
I instead opted for a pair of Ancient Greek Sandals’ Iro flats. I went with the pink pair and I really love them – they are just a fun shoe and really cute. I feel like the silhouette is more feminine than The Row’s, which is more in line with my own personal style. Comfort wise, I would say that they are comfortable but not supportive. This makes them great for backyard hangs, light errands, trips to the beach. Less great for long walks or walking on gravel/surfaces that could hurt your feet. Size wise, they run TTS. I am an 8.5/39 and got the 39. No blisters so far! A few other options I like: this $35 option at Clare V (the solid green is my fav but how nice is the cobalt?), Jeffrey Campbell’s $50 version, the OG Melissa fisherman jelly.
Today I thought it would be fun to give you some styling inspiration. I hope you enjoy!
5 ways To style Jelly Shoes
Brunch with Friends
I love the idea of jellies with a white dress. I have this Coco Shop dress and really love it. The fit is fantastic and it’s also very comfortable. What makes this work (in my opinion) is that the look is overall very classic and timeless. The jellies add an element of fun and interest. I read somewhere that you should have one “wrong” thing in every outfit; in this case, the jellies are that!

Grace, I love these! The nostalgia hit is so so high for these sandals – jelly shoes were my very favorite as a kid. That price tag is still a little high for me to justify, and I’m not as much a fan of the fisherman style, so I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for an alternate ๐
If I see something more like my flats at a lower price I will be sure to post here and on IG stories!
Thanks! You always have the best recommendations!
I want to jump right in! But all I can remember is sweaty feet and blisters from my childhood. ๐ I’m totally willing to give them a try at a decent price point.
