Tie-Front Pieces.

One thing I pride myself on doing is looking at the various seasonal trends across fashion, accessories, and beauty… picking and choosing, trying things on, sending things back… deciding what works for me. Jelly shoes and preppy pieces? Yes please. Crop tops, dramatic collars, (most) super sheer pieces? I’ll pass. One thing I’ve been seeing everywhere is the abundance of these cute tie front tops and dresses. I love this trend!

I like that it can work on most body types (if you are busty and/or don’t want to show a peek of skin, just wear a little tank underneath), I like that the ties make it adjustable so that you can get a good fit… it’s just CUTE! And I get so many questions about what I wear under mine and I promise you it’s not a big deal! Generally speaking I just do a pretty nude lace bra. That way it kinda just blends in, and if it peeks out a bit it’s cute enough not to stress. If you want more coverage, do a little cami or tank. And if you have a larger chest (proportionally to the rest of your body), consider sizing up. You want to make sure there is enough space to have the top part fully close.

Tie-Front Pieces

My favorite tie front purchase has probably been this tie front coverup from J.Crew. It’s such an easy piece and looks great over all my swimsuits. I also really like this (very inexpensive Amazon!) dress. Same with this Ganni top, which I own in white but kinda want to grab in black too. But I wanted to round up a big slew of cute options to choose from… there are so many fun tie front dresses and tops out right now. A lot of these styles work really well for the beach or pool – it doesn’t have to be about showing a ton of skin… layer them on over tanks, camis, and swimsuits.
