The Wednesday Ten, No. 4

Every Wednesday, I’ll bring you a list of ten things that I think you should know about. This is my favorite part of my job, to be honest. Finding and sharing cool stuff that you hopefully haven’t seen elsewhere. I often stumble across something interesting and share it on Instagram, but it has no real home. Maybe it’s a new launch, an A++ podcast episode . . . maybe it’s an independent designer, an artist, a sale worth noting, or a must-have shopping find. It will be a different mix every week. You can read the first one here, the second one here, and the third one here.

  1. Dorsey has launched the most gorgeous collection of floating diamonds (and, thankfully, moissanite). I got to see them in person, and WOW. You can get wild and crazy with 65 karats of lab-grown diamonds, or something more reasonable like the 3.5mm or 5mm lab-grown moissanite. I think these will layer so beautifully. My personal fav is the 3.5mm, but I would 100% wear them together.
  2. I’m obsessing over these gorgeous rainbow pillows.
  3. Did you see that Adam Grant has a new book coming out this fall? I pre-ordered immediately. This part really got me: “As social media forces face-to-face interaction behind digital screens, communication gets outsourced to AI, and the world becomes more polarized than ever, our loneliness crisis shows no signs of slowing.” Yes. Adam is always a fantastic voice of reason; I am really looking forward to reading this.
  4. Along those lines, Danny Meyer also has a new book coming out. Another instant pre-order for me. I adored Setting the Table, and I loved his protegeé Will Giudara’s book Unreasonable Hospitality even more. I always recommend both books for anyone in any sort of customer-racing business (does not need to be hospitality!).
  5. It’s massively splurgy, but I cannot get over this feather Bottega bag. Top of my wish list.
  6. I’ve been wearing this fragrance on repeat. The perfect gourmand with caramel and vanilla. Yum.
  7. This cool new company has me wanting to replace all my light switches with these dimmers.
  8. The Ruggable x Scalamandre is beautiful. I am thinking about swapping out my closet rug for this one, but I also love these green cheetahs. I double checked and my code GRACE15 works.
  9. La Ligne made my favorite pants in a chic leather version. Not Charleston appropriate (it’s already very hot!), but almost worth buying and saving for fall?
  10. I think I’m enjoying the Devil Wears Prada coverage more than I did the actual film. I liked it, I’m glad I saw it, but I didn’t love it. My expectations were too high. That said, I love this interview between Meryl and Anna, and also this one with Stanley and Anne.
