Every Wednesday, I’ll bring you a list of ten things that I think you should know about. I’m excited for this. I often stumble across something interesting and will share it to Instagram, but it has no real place to live. Maybe it’s a new launch, a really great podcast episode . . . maybe it’s an independent designer or a must-have shopping find. It will be a different mix every week. You can read the first one here.
- Liz Lidgett’s new book, Art For Everyone, came out yesterday. I am such a fan of hers and have followed her (and shopped at her gallery) for years. I love her work and her mission to make art feel accessible. It can feel like you need a fancy degree to understand it, but you really don’t.
- A really cool French jewelry brand to know, Bangla Begum. Every piece is made in limited quantities in France by highly skilled artisans. I got these earrings and adore them. The color combination is beautiful, and they feel really different and special.
- These jewelry boxes! OMG. Carly found them, and I ordered the chartreuse immediately. Mine took a little while to arrive, but it was worth it. So pretty—it would make a great Mother’s Day gift.
- I am not allowed to buy any more chartreuse bags (I have a problem with this), but were that not the case, I’d be all over this gorgeous satin pillow bag from Rachel Comey. For something more practical, this larger pillow tote in black Napa leather would make a hell of a work bag.
- When I was in New York, Jessie Randall mentioned taking a memoir-writing class with Lizzie Simon (Belle Burden’s writing coach—Belle took it three times!). I signed up immediately. The spring session kicks off next week. I can’t wait!
- A beautiful new-to-me Spanish footwear brand to obsess over. These ballet flats have a Phoebe Philo vibe, and I love these (far less practical) lace floral ballerina heels.
- I’m never not looking at vintage cocktail rings; this one is insane.
- These are the most insanely beautiful silk flower arrangements, wow. I want to fill my house with them. (Another good Mother’s Day gift idea!)
- A few A+ home finds: dreamy marbled napkins, the cutest little bud vase, these salt & pepper shakers, and the most over-the-top coasters (they feel like fine jewelry).
- And of course, don’t forget the J.Crew friends & family sale—30% off sitewide. I went through their site in excruciating detail, and this is my edit.
