Sarah Creal Beauty Review

Sarah Creal is the first newer beauty brand (since Jones Road, another forever favorite) that has seemingly come out of nowhere and massively impressed me. I have not just liked but loved nearly every product I’ve tried from the brand. It started with the concealer, which I bought at the Sephora sale in 2024 after hearing it was designed for 40+ skin and played well with fine lines. I loved the concealer and have since tried nearly every single product!

Sarah Creal Beauty review

Who is Sarah Creal?

Let’s start with this. With Jones Road, I knew that it was Bobbi Brown’s new venture, so I immediately had a bit of trust in the brand. Bobbi does not mess around. She is honest and picky, has years and years of experience, and has built her eponymous line (which I also love). The tight assortment that is Jones Road reflects both her expertise in the industry and as a makeup artist. But who is Sarah Creal, and more importantly, why should we care about her?

I was surprised to learn that Sarah Creal is not a makeup artist! That was my first assumption. Anyone else? She’s a marketer and brand builder first. During her 30-year career in the beauty industry, Creal has worked on iconic cosmetic brands like Prada Beauty (the original), Tom Ford Beauty, Aerin, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, and Victoria Beckham Beauty. Before launching her brand, she was the co-founder and CEO of Victoria Beckham Beauty. If you’ve tried the products, that tracks.

Creal, now 54, realized that the beauty industry doesn’t do a good job of keeping up with women as they age. Most new products are developed for women in their 20s and 30s, who don’t need the level of performance that those of us who are a little older do. She found her concealer creasing and her mascara leaving smudges under her eyes. She wanted luxury brands catering to women her age and ultimately launched Sarah Creal Beauty to do just that.

The brand launched at Sephora in September 2024, so it hasn’t been around long. But every few months, they seemingly launch a new product, and every time I order it, I am super impressed.

Things I love about the brand:

The products are luxurious. The packaging is weighty, and many of the products (like the eye cream) are refillable. But the formulas are notch. Everyone’s skin is different, but as a person with dry skin in her forties, I love them. My skin responds really well to the face products in particular.

Sarah Creal Beauty Products

Face Flex Concealer and Complexion Enhancer

This concealer was my introduction to the brand, and I love it so much. It’s funny, I’ve heard mixed things from readers so again, these things can be so personal. For me, I like that it seems to float over my fine lines, never settling in cracks. The formula is built to last (12+ horus!) and flexes as your skin moves. My shade is 3.0, Light Neutral!

It brightens and moisturizes, with a formulat that feels silky and velvety. I like that it feels lightweight but it’s still pretty strong coverage: it will cover dark circles, blemishes, dark spots, all of it!

Key ingredients: Hyaluronic acid to hydrate and plump, caffeine to fight puffiness, aloe leaf to soothe and calm irritated skin, green tea to brighten!

The Complexion Brush

I am picky about brushes and rarely say “Get the brush!” but I adore this brush. It plays very well with the concealer. I can’t explain it, but it seems to push the concealer into my skin, blending it just enough. The bristles are plush and the angled shape gets harder to reach areas like the inner eye area.

Brilliant Repair Shield

This is an SPF 50 illuminating serum with broad-spectrum sunscreen. It makes you GLOW! My shade is Staycation, a radiant neutral that looks good on my skin before or after a tan. Darker skin tones will do well with Vacation, golden bronze. I love that besides SPF and glow, it also contains good for you, skincare-grade ingredients: Bakuchiol (a plant-based retinol alternative), anti-oxidants, and Niacinamide (to strengthen the skin barrier).

The formula is weightless and easy. 100% mineral sunscreen without a white cast; just radiant, sunkissed glow. I am weary of mineral sunscreens. A lot feel too heavy on my skin. Not this! You can wear it on its own (my favorite way) or under your makeup as a glowy primer.

Firm Offer 4-in-One Ultimate Eye Cream

This eye cream is fabulous, and I love that it is refillable. I like that it has just a little bit of tint; for everyday, I’ll use this and skip concealer. The formula brightens, hydrates, smoothes, and primes the area for makeup. And! It’s clinically proven to lock in moisture for 24 hours, reduce dark circles, and fade lines and wrinkles over time.

Key ingredients: Peptides to lift and firm, hyaluronic acid to hydrate, caffeine and jasmine flower extract to brighten dark circles. Caffeine helps to constrict blood vessels which reduces swelling and inflammation, in turn diminishing the look of dark circles and puffiness.

Just Like Paradise Peptide Sculpting Cream Bronzer

I love this cream bronzer so much. I wear the lightest shade and just love how it feels on my skin. It’s really hydrating, wears so well, and is easy to apply. (I like to use it with the contour brush below). The formula is ultra luxurious and silky and the wear is incredible: It lasts all day long!

Today’s Highlights Peptide Sculpting Balm Luminizer

I tried the bronzer first, but this luminizer is a perfect pairing. I wear the lightest shade (This Just In) and love it. Luminous glow, anywhere you want it. I apply it anywhere the light would hit. My temples, the bridge of my nose, under my brow bone, cupids bow.

The Dual Contour Brush

I really like both of Sarah Creal’s brushes. The quality is great and they play really well with her formulas. This one, I use for bronzer and highlighter. I use the fatter side for bronzer and the thinner one for highlighter.

Back of the Cab Volumizing Longwear Tubing Mascara

When I first tried the concealer, a reader messaged me to tell me that she liked the mascara even better, so I had to try it! This is a great mascara. It gives you big, fat, long lashes . . . but it’s a tubing mascara so it does not flake or feather. It stays on all day, but rinses off easily with warm water and face wash — no fussy makeover removers needed.

The Adults Are Talking Solid Serum Lip Repair

This is an ultra-pretty tinted lip balm with mega skincare ingredients and benefits. It leaves skin dewy, smooth and plump. My favorites are clear and Energetic (a super pretty sheer pink!) I thought that it’s so smart that the formula includes just a hint of lactic acid to gently exfoliate and help the other actives to penetrate.

Key ingredients: Capuacu butter (rich in antioxidants and fatty acids; helps to moisturize and form a protective barrier on the skin), peptides (plump and smooth; stimulates collagen production), phospholipids (retains moisture), and lactic acid.

Speak for Yourself Hydrating Lipstick

These lipsticks are lush. They have ultra-hydrating formulas with great wear. They provide six-hour hydration and feel like a hug. They are never dry or flaky. If your lips get dry or chapped, you’ll love these. Sarah said that these are the only lipstick she looks forward to putting on and I see why: they just feel really, really good on your lips. My favorite shades are She-EO and Pink Tax.

On that note, the only bad thing I have to say about this brand is that some shade names are cheesy. I don’t need girl power from my lipsticks, it makes me feel like I’m being marketed to in an icky way, but that is just my two cents!

I couldn’t focus on the products here, because I was so distracted by the journal underneath! Who makes your journal, and what happened to Nanette Lepore?? This was my favorite line in my 20s, and I still regret getting rid of some of the pieces that I used to have in my closet.

It isn’t a journal; it’s a coffee table book called “Dinner Diaries!” Here is a link to it: https://urlgeni.us/amzn/n0qwA

I bought my copy in 2017, I think it’s out of print now which is why the price is higher.

Oh wow, this brand looks really fun. The weighty packaging and the clever names are a vibe. I’ll be checking out the tubing mascara and the lip serum for sure.
