Palm Springs Dreaming.

Thank you to Vrbo for partnering on this post!

Best Palm Springs Vrbo

Palm Springs is one of my favorite places. Early into our relationship, my boyfriend and I spent a long weekend there and the most amazing weekend. The restaurants, the antique shops, the art, the architecture… I could go on. I remember just feeling so relaxed and happy: we definitely don’t go enough. It is an extremely easy long weekend from LA; I aspire to get there more often.

As much as I love a fancy hotel, when visiting Palm Springs, Vrbo is the only way to go. There are so many incredible properties, often, historic mid-century designs! You can pretend to be in a Slim Aarons photo or live out your Don’t Worry Darling (or Astroid City!) dreams. I always love a Vrbo when I want a bit more privacy, if we plan on cooking a lot, or if we want our own pool, etc. but in Palm Springs, it is an absolute non-negotiable for me simply as I love mid-century design. Even the best hotels don’t hold a candle to these rentals!

Plus, when you book with Vrbo you always get the whole home, so you can really relax in the comfort of your own space. I have been having some fun daydreaming. I spent hours poring over their various rental properties and wanted to share some favorites here today!

My 10 Favorite Palm Springs VRBO listings

Favorite Palm Springs Vrbo
Roseta Retreat

This place is an absolute dream and is probably my personal favorite. I love every element of the decor (there are a lot of stripes, ha ha). It feels like you’re staying a boutique hotel but with all of the accommodations of a Vrbo. I am day dreaming about a dip in the pool and then snuggling up with a book in the shade of the covered porch (that sectional looks comfy!) Vrbo listing right this way.

The Hedge House in the Movie Colony
The Hedge House in the Movie Colony

I gasped when I saw this pool, but the whole property is just perfect. A covered porch, a grill, three spacious bedrooms. Ideal indoor/outdoor living and entertaining and just five minutes away from downtown Palm Springs. Vrbo listing right this way.

Mid-Century Retreat | Palm Springs Vrbo
Mid-Century Retreat

It’s the mountain views and feeling like the house was just plopped in the middle of the desert for me. Plus again, that indoor/outdoor living concept: A spacious pool and that covered porch. My idea of heaven. Plus multiple patios. This one would be a good one for entertaining. Vrbo listing right this way.

A Design Lover's Heaven Vrbo
A Design Lover’s Heaven

This home is giving me major Slim Aarons vibes – it is perfect and so well designed! It was renovated by Heather Fox (of the show Stay or Sell on HGTV) and has all the bells and whistles. A chef’s kitchen, gas fireplace… and that POOL is just incredible. This spot would be incredible for a photo shoot, etc. Vrbo listing right this way.

William Cody Family Home Palm Springs Vrbo
William Cody Family Home

I was drawn to this immediately by the tag line (live like an architect), knowing that my boyfriend would approve. I fell in love with this one immediately because of the design – just WOW! And for a second I thought it didn’t have a pool but realized I had scrolled too quickly. And you’d be living in a piece of history: this home was designed by the mid-century architect William Cody, as his private family residence. Everything about it is just stunning. Like Stepping into a Magazine Vrbo
Like Stepping into a Magazine

Admittedly this one is wildly splurgy but I couldn’t not include it as the decor is so fun and THAT POOL! Feels like stepping into a magazine… every element is just unreal! It makes sense as it has been published in several magazines and has won a few awards as well. It’s incredible. Vrbo listing right this way.

Mid-Century + Whimsy Palm Springs Vrbo
Mid-Century + Whimsy

This one is stunning, with a beautiful pool… but I fell in love with it for the more whimsical touches. The oversized chessboard outside. The fuchsia chairs. The bunk bed room with aqua walls. I feel like this would be a good spot to stay if you are bringing kids along. Vrbo listing right this way.

Dreamy Mountain Views Vrbo
Dreamy Mountain Views

I really love the idea of sitting in the pool in the desert heat, gazing up at the mountains. It is one of those things you can’t do very many places, and one of the things that in my mind, makes Palm Springs so special. The views were what grabbed me most with this listing. But it’s also well-designed and four minutes away from downtown. Vrbo listing right this way.

Luxe Remodeled Home Palm Springs Vrbo

Admittedly the decor of this one is a bit over the top but I think it would be a really luxurious place to stay. It’s probably the most luxurious of all the listings. Plus all of the games! Ping pong and bocce? The yard is enormous, the pool is glorious, and that fire pit? Yes please. I just giggle a little about some of the art and all that marble. Vrbo listing right this way.

Chez Alain & Michou
Chez Alain & Michou

My favorite thing about this property is the way that the dining room can open up to be right next to the pool. Just heavenly. Everything about this listing is just beautifully designed. It is airy and inviting and the epitome of indoor/outdoor living (can you tell that is a favorite thing of mine?). There is also bocce and corn hole, and four bedrooms! Vrbo listing right this way.
