My One Goal for 2018!

I am not really a resolution maker, but this year I am making just one, and that is to get to yoga a few times every week. It’s the workout I neglect the most, but also the one that leaves me feeling the best. There’s nothing like a great flow class to get you sweating, stretched out, and just feeling so much better + more peaceful! A couple weeks ago, Cotton invited me and a group of influencers to a chic loft space in Tribeca, where we sipped juices, made our own avocado toast, and… took a yoga class. I’d been up late the night before working and this class made me realize how much I really miss it – your body just feels so amazing afterward.

Naturally, I chose a cotton look to wear. It wasn’t exactly hard as most of my workout gear is at least 60% cotton – as far as workout gear goes, it’s the perfect mix of performance and comfort. I’ve always preferred cotton fabrics to synthetic fabrics as it’s a natural fiber and odors wash out of cotton more completely. It’s also just so much more breathable and comfortable which is perfect for yoga… especially my favorite part of class… savasana! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I got SO many questions about my leggings on instagram stories… They are fantastic. I like that they have a bit of stretch (they’re made from a blend of 93% cotton/7% spandex). The lace-up detail made me feel like a ballerina!ย  I paired them with a cotton tank and layered on an easy (also cotton) sweater that would transition the leggings perfectly from yoga to brunch.

Always so happy to see my friend Cait!!!

I think I’m going to make this resolution too! I hate exercise and the only thing I can imagine doing is yoga… and not even every day!

Completely agree – yoga is something that always makes me feel so much better but I tend to neglect. Great resolution!

Honestly, I am terrible at yoga but make myself go because mentally, I feel so much better after! Though it does take a while to get out of my own head when I am convinced I will get stuck in pigeon!

This looked like such a fun day! I absolutely love wearing cotton-rich products. Even at my full-time job, we’re always looking on ways to spruce up our cotton fabrics because they’re typically a man’s fabric of choice too!

Thought you should know and maybe you do, just being PC.
Anything made of petroleum is a hormone mimicer of estrogens. So can throw everything off..organic cotton is best.
Regular cotton is gmo with petroleum and if not, at the least is sprayed with petroleum pesticides. But we cant say this without lawsuits.. so you pay the price with you and family health. Connect the dots..farn runoff, frog n fish increase female population, modified gene pool..gas money even pharma synthetic

Everything about this makes my heart happy and the pic of everyone’s modified version of Eagle tells the story of yoga…it can be done by anyone, honoring your body for what it can do today, ‘yoga isn’t about touching your toes its about what you learn on the way down’. Thank you for sharing your leggings too, always searching for my next new pair!

Good for you Grace. I know for me it took awhile to get in the habit. Yoga is my lifesaver! I do thirty minutes most mornings. I just can’t do the gym anymore. If I’m in a bad mood or tired, yoga never fails to lift me. I just never got that complete mind, body, soul workout from any other exercise. Some days, I want to talk myself out of it, but with my crazy job, I know my day will be so much harder to get through without it, so I do it anyway. I’m not great at it, but getting more limber every day. My next goal is to get more steps in everyday to burn more calories. I’m going to start doing your podcast walks soon!
