I am not really a resolution maker, but this year I am making just one, and that is to get to yoga a few times every week. It’s the workout I neglect the most, but also the one that leaves me feeling the best. There’s nothing like a great flow class to get you sweating, stretched out, and just feeling so much better + more peaceful! A couple weeks ago, Cotton invited me and a group of influencers to a chic loft space in Tribeca, where we sipped juices, made our own avocado toast, and… took a yoga class. I’d been up late the night before working and this class made me realize how much I really miss it – your body just feels so amazing afterward.
Naturally, I chose a cotton look to wear. It wasn’t exactly hard as most of my workout gear is at least 60% cotton – as far as workout gear goes, it’s the perfect mix of performance and comfort. I’ve always preferred cotton fabrics to synthetic fabrics as it’s a natural fiber and odors wash out of cotton more completely. It’s also just so much more breathable and comfortable which is perfect for yoga… especially my favorite part of class… savasana! 😉
I got SO many questions about my leggings on instagram stories… They are fantastic. I like that they have a bit of stretch (they’re made from a blend of 93% cotton/7% spandex). The lace-up detail made me feel like a ballerina! I paired them with a cotton tank and layered on an easy (also cotton) sweater that would transition the leggings perfectly from yoga to brunch.
