Blue and white for Spring…. groundbreaking! 😉 Blue and white is one of my favorite color combinations and when I spied this dress I had to have it! The color combination, the stripes, and of course… the pretty one shoulder silhouette – love! Milly has so many great pieces this Spring. This off-the-shoulder LBD is in my cart, and I love this rhinestone clutch so much.
I bought this coat last Spring and it’s a favorite. White coats are really hard… in my opinion, a lot of them will make you look like a doctor (or like you worked at the Clinique counter in the nineties) if you aren’t careful. That’s why I love this one so much… it’s elegant and ladylike – no doctor vibes here! I scoured the Internet for similar white trenches and it was actually sort of hard. My personal favorite is this Harris Wharf Trench (love their pieces – they also make my favorite little light pink topper) but I also loved this (slightly off white) wrap trench, this ALC belted number, and this linen trench (because let’s face it: Isabel Marant can do no wrong).
Hope you guys are having a good week. Mine is just a big mix of work + being home accepting deliveries, having furniture get put together, and attempting to sort through the enormous pile of beauty products in the center of my living room. The only downside of the new apartment is that I have a teensy tiny bathroom with not much room for storage. I’ve been on the hunt for a pretty cabinet that can live outside the bathroom (and act as The Stripe’s “beauty closet” of sorts.) If you have recommendations I am all ears… pretty storage can be hard to find!

Last but not least… you might have noticed that the site looks a bit different! A big thanks to Victoria + Lisa – they are the most amazing. I hadn’t really changed much about the site since rebranding to The Stripe 2+ years ago. It was starting to feel a little bit stale. We switched up the fonts + branding a tiny bit, and cleaned up the home page. One of the biggest pieces of feedback I’ve gotten is that you guys miss posts, especially on days where I post more than once a day. The feed after the main post is no longer filtered by category… it’s just the four most recent posts. I think that should make things a little easier.
I also have a brand new shiny About page which is fun, too! Ever the nerd, I’m most excited about the new fonts – they are so fresh and clean… and I love the new underline effect/color change that happens when you hover over a link. I’d really love any and all feedback on the changes (and if you’d like to see anything else). My goal is always to make the site as easy to navigate as possible. (And don’t forget, you can always read the blog scrolling style too if you like… I know some of you are old school and want to read a blog like a blog. ;))
