Oh, this collage makes me HAPPY. I really, really love malachite. Green is my favorite color and even as a kid (I had quite the rock collection when I was younger), I’ve always loved malachite. For my 40th birthday, I bought myself a malachite lollipop ring from Retrouvai, my favorite, but I actually don’t own very much malachite. I have a little slab of it on my coffee table (a gift from my sister), I bought this malachite print robe (runs TTS, highly recommend – it’s even more beautiful person) and kind of want to be extra with a whole malachite dining set? That’s for a someday list, right now we eat at my kitchen island as I don’t have room for a dining table in my apartment. But IF I had a dining table, I would absolutely be springing for the plates, tray, etc. Chic!

Malachite Mania!
I thought it would be fun to do a bit of research on my favorite mineral. Malachite is considered a healing stone. Its meaning is transformation and positive change (I can get behind that, think we all need a little positive change after the past couple years, no?). The Egyptians would grind it down into a fine powder to use as eye shadow. In the middle ages, healers would use it to soothe stomach ailments and to protect against curses and negative energies. A 17th-century Spanish superstition held that having a child wear a lozenge of malachite would help them sleep, and keep evil spirits at bay. Whether or not you believe in any of that or the power of stones and crystals, it’s really just a very beautiful stone.
Some personal favorites from the roundup: A malachite print yoga mat? COOL! This malachite + crystal necklace is so luxe (but extremely expensive). I really love this candle, and when it’s gone you could use the jar to store q-tips or cotton balls in the bathroom. These earrings make such a statement… you could literally wear any plain old outfit and look so elegant wearing them. Lastly, this tray. Just too good.

That little hard case clutch is adorable! And loving those dessert plates. I love a fun dessert plate for when friends are over!

I am doing a little sprucing in our living room and think this gorgeous color may be what I need for a little pop. Thanks for sharing!
Such a fun round up. My favorite color too! I don’t know why I don’t own any malachite jewelry. I need to remedy that soon! Love the yoga mat and robe as well. Actually I like all of it, but which can i bot live without? 🙂
Haha I feel the same!
Fantastic curated malachite list and history insights! Thank you for such a thoughtful and lovely post.
You must add Chile to your travel list Grace – as a fellow malachite fan, I picked up beautiful malachite pieces including jewelry at the outdoor market stalls in Santiago (target visiting in September during national independence holidays when additional markets pop up)
I look forward to adding a few of the malachite pieces on your list to my collection.
Dying to get there! Thanks for the note 🙂
Love the green! I think those earrings (#16) have my name on them 🙂
Just sharing a few more malachite pieces from a small jewelry brand that I love: https://janewin.com/search?type=product%2Carticle%2Cpage%2Ccollection&q=Malachite*
Hey Sara – thanks for sharing this brand! It’s new to me but taking a peek – I love her jewelry, and it looks like she is local to me in Philadelphia! Awesome to know
Oh wow, these are amazing – thanks for sharing!
Green is also one of my favorite colors and have absolutely loved discovering my love of malachite through some of your previous shares.
Thank you for taking the time to make beautiful collages and sharing some interesting information along with items to purchase. I always enjoy when there is learning or content included beyond simply a shopping roundup (though I enjoy those too).
Thank you for the note!
OMG! Green is also my favorite color and this collage is just perfect! I’m already bookmarking a few things for my birthday wishlist!
