Last Week in Outfits, 10.4.23
Last week was both wildly fun and wildly busy. I tend to pack in a LOT when I go back to New York. Friend time, work meetings, art shows, all the things! I didn’t do everything (or see everyone) that I wanted to, but it was still great. I got back Friday night and was tired so kept weekend plans light: lunch with girlfriends on Saturday, family dinner Sunday! This week will mostly be spent holed up and preparing for an event I’m hosting… then I head to Lake Arrowhead on Friday for the long weekend. I hope you’re having a great week.
PS – Last Week’s Outfits.
Monday:
What I Did: Worked from home.
What I Wore: Rails Silk Blouse, AGOLDE Shorts, Chanel Dad Sandals (I always recommend searching The RealReal).
Wednesday:
What I Did: Off to New York! I don’t know if it is helpful here but I centered my packing around this blazer. I had packed a dress too but it stormed that day. Everything I packed went with the blazer (denim, dress, sweater, etc!) which made getting dressed super easy. Also this blazer is truly excellent but it’s very expensive. I personally own this Banana Republic blazer (in the tan) and would recommend it as an affordable alternative. I would go up one size for a slouchier, boyfriend fit similar to the one I’m wearing.
What I Wore: Blaze Milano Blazer, Tory Burch Sweater, Sherman Field Necklace, Madewell Jeans, J.Crew Belt, Jimmy Choo Heels, Loewe Bag, Rimowa Suitcase
Wednesday Night:
What I Did: Drinks at Bemelman’s and dinner at Polo Bar… the ultimate!
What I Wore: Altuzarra Dress (this was my big splurge during the Saks sale), Jimmy Choo Heels.
Thursday:
What I Did: Moderated Becca’s Book Launch!
What I Wore: Blaze Milano Blazer, High Sport Polo, Madewell Jeans, Jimmy Choo Heels
Friday:
What I Did: Meetings and flew home to Charleston.
What I Wore: Blaze Milano Jacket, Wal-Mart Tee (best grey tee – size up for a more relaxed fit!), Pistola Jeans (also here), Toteme Flats.
These flats are something special… I really love them. Really comfortable too. I’m looking for a lower priced alt!!! I did find these but the site does not look great. I will keep looking.
Saturday:
What I Did: Lunch + Mahjong with a few girlfriends.
What I Wore: Rhode Dress, Toteme Flats
Sunday:
What I Did: Family dinner for my birthday.
What I Wore: AYR tee, AGOLDE Jeans (extremely old from before the pandemic, unsure what style they are but these are very similar!), Chanel Slingbacks.

hi Grace, do those flats run narrow? So cute!
I have narrow feet and they fit me perfectly so I would say yes!
Regarding the TOTEME flats – would you size UP or DOWN if you’re in between sizes?
I’m an 8.5 and sized up to a 39 and they’re perf! (I usually size down so I guess that means def size up!)
Love, the chanel slingbacks! Is that a dusty rose color or nude?
Nude! They are several years old but a classic, they still make!
Big Blaze Milano fan. Some of their cuts run small for me. Did you size up on this blazer? Love this blog series. Thanks, Grace!
Yes! I think what was helpful is that a stylist at MyTheresa told me the 3 is a medium, not a large. So I wear the 3. I LOVE their blazers. Such a splurge but worth the $!
Looking forward to your outfit diaries this fall and winter. I’m moving to the south at the end of this year from the midwest and have NO idea what I’m supposed to be wearing…love your blog!
Aw thank you so much <3
Those Toteme flats are a dream! Maybe we’ll all luck out and they’ll hit The Outnet one day…
They are the best! I keep hunting for a less expensive alt but haven’t found much.
ok muy nice mas opciones fv
