A Week of Outfits, 9.27.23

Today is my 42nd birthday! I am moderating a discussion with my friend Becca around her book (!!) tomorrow, so I decided to come into the city a day early to do all of my favorite things (museums, shopping, Bemelman’s and a fun dinner) with one of my best friends. Last week was a pretty low key one with the exception of a trip to Myrtle Beach for my friend’s birthday. I wrote more about that over on Substack. I hope you’re having a great week!

Tuesday:

What I Did: had my family over for dinner.

What I Wore: Theory cashmere sweater, Mother Jeans

Wednesday:

What I Did: Worked from home, went out for a walk after.

What I Wore: Vuori Pullover, Vuori Joggers, Hanes Socks, Hoka Sneakers.

Thursday:

What I Did: Worked from home.

Thursday, later:

What I Did: Went to a trunk show.

What I Wore: Same jeans, Same shoes, High Sport shell, Sherman Field Locket, Cartier Watch, Loro Piana Bag.

Toteme Top + Shorts | A Week of Outfits, 9.27.23

Thursday Night:

What I Did: Went out for drinks with friends. SORELLE!

What I Wore: Toteme Top + Shorts, Aquazzura Sandals.

Sylvia Tcherassi Top, Madewell Jeans, Chanel Sandals

Friday:

What I Did: Went to my friend’s birthday party.

What I Wore: Sylvia Tcherassi Top, Madewell Jeans, Chanel Sandals

Saturday:

What I Did: Went to Myrtle Beach for an overnight.

What I Wore: Jenni Kayne Tee, Addison Bay Stripe Pullover, Madewell Jeans, The Row Sandals, Very Troubled Child Weekender.

This weekender is truly excellent. I got mine back in 2017 and it is one of my most favorite things.

Saturday Night:

What I Did: Dinner + Bars in Myrtle Beach.

What I Wore: Anthropologie Dress, The Row Sandals

Sunday:

What I Did: Brunch and then back to Charleston.

What I Wore: Wyeth Tee, Madewell Jeans, The Row Sandals

I love the Anthro dress, I’ve bought three since you first posted (last year?). Do you have a jacket recommendation to go with the dress?

Since they are longer, I like the ability to wear them into the fall/start of winter, but the more structured sleeves are making it harder for me to figure out what to wear without totally wrinkling them.
