Klur Body Oil Review

KLUR’s body oil may be one of my most favorite recent purchases. I found the brand while researching Black-owned businesses for this post. I instantly loved everything about the brand: the narrow product assortment, the packaging, all of it. Upon learning that the body oil had notes of orange blossom and neroli (two of my most favorite scents), I ordered a bottle.

I also loved the brand’s vision: clean, ethical, inclusive beauty. The founder, Lesley Thornton, is an aesthetician and formulator and true expert in skincare. She believes in minimalism and thoughtful, quality ingredients. Everything is made in California. On a more personal note, please read this instagram post from her… it tugged at my heart strings and made me a customer for life.

I really admire the brand’s commitment to sustainability.

When I opened up the package I was so happy to see that there was no plastic or other excessive package. The carton of my body oil came in a recyclable padded envelope made from recycled paper. They didn’t seal the envelope, which enables me to reuse it next time I have a small gift to mail a friend. It’s such a small but thoughtful detail.

As for the oil itself, just wow. It smells heavenly and leaves my skin glowing and radiant and feeling like SILK. Besides orange blossom and neroli it also has notes of Bulgarian rose and French lavender. It’s incredible and so special. I will be the first to admit that I can have a heavy hand with my products and have had to scale back with this as it’s easy to go overboard. The key is to use it right after the shower. Towel off to shake off any excess water, but don’t get yourself too dry… if you apply the oil to damp skin, you can use a little bit less oil.

I’m definitely planning to buy and try more from the line… have you tried anything from this brand? What should I buy next?

I’ve never used body oil before, but it sounds like a great way to keep my skin hydrated! My elbows and knees are always dry!

I have a bottle of this on my way, thanks to you! I’ve also been using the Luv Scrub and it’s my favorite thing—and it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin, which is amazing.

My most recent favorite purchase is this candle by Gilded, which comes in this gorgeous marble jar that you buy refills for. The orange blossom scent is HEAVEN! https://gildedbody.com/collections/the-marble-candle
