I really, really love how these photos turned out. It was really windy so at first, I was like “SHIT,” (because whenever we shoot in the wind someone tells me I need a hairbrush) BUT we actually used the wind to our advantage – Carter had me twirling in the middle of the intersection so I looked a little crazy to anyone passing by, but it made for great photos!
If you watched my #makemysize video with Katie, then you may remember this jacket. Veronica Beard has definitely been one of my favorite discoveries to come from my inclusivity challenge. Also, her store in Soho is DIVINE. Like, I would live there. The decor is beautiful and the clothes (especially the jackets!) are so good. She’s known for her “dickey jackets” and the fit on those is spot on. I especially love the double breasted styles. I take my usual size (a 6) and the fit is absolutely perfect. If you run wider through the shoulders I would size up as they are quite fitted. I tried on this jacket and just fell in love. It’s definitely a splurge (all of her clothes are, to be honest) but it’s something I will have forever and I feel like a million bucks every time I put it on.
I hope you guys had a great weekend. I had a fun brunch at Bar Beau on Saturday (SO GOOD), dinner with friends Saturday night, and a lot of relaxation yesterday. Also, I read an entire book in basically one sitting, treated myself to a really good bagel, and went for an hour long walk along the river. Perfect little day.
Veronica Beard Blazer (also here, here and in a full range of sizes here) // Atlantic-Pacific x Halogen Camisole (old, similar here + here + here and cute plus option here) // Paige Jeans (for a great pair of dark denim in ALL sizes, Katie and I both tried on – and loved – these jeans from Universal Standard) // old leopard belt (similar!) Talbots Heels (on sale and I LOVE THEM SO MUCH) // Palmgrens Bag (a FAV – if you have been reading here a while you will remember it from last year) // Celine Sunglasses (my exact pair)
