Happy Monday, friends! How was your weekend? Mine was really, really nice. I have to tell you, I could not be enjoying this wellness challenge more.
Yesterday I went to yoga at 10am. When I got home, I felt a little bit sleepy so I got back into bed and read. What was supposed to be 30 minutes (I had grand plans of getting to Ludlow House to work/eat avocado toast/people watch), turned into three hours and finishing this heartwarming book. From there, I took a little nap and then a bath… (and then I worked, but that part is boring). I just felt very… cared for, like I was listening to my body and giving it what it needed. I gave it yoga, I gave it rest… and that felt really awesome. I have been getting to bed a lot earlier than usual (in bed by 10, 11pm at the very latest… this is someone who likes to stay up til 2am when I’m left to my own devices!) but the funny thing is I only get up a little bit earlier… so I have been getting SO much sleep… like nine or ten hours a night.
While we are talking about the wellness challenge, our first wellness check-in went amazingly – you guys are ON FIRE! I am going to choose 5 commenters today to send a treat to (I will email you!) but in the meantime don’t forget to pop over and check out this week’s challenge! I can’t wait to hear from you all again on Friday!!!
Outfit Details: Free People Off the Shoulder Sweater // 7 for All Mankind Jeans // Chanel Purse // Celine Sunglasses // J.Crew Factory Wedges // Pat McGrath Lipstick in “McGrath Muse”
We took these photos at Kinfolk Coffee in Williamsburg. It’s quickly becoming a new fav for coffee and not just because of the plant wall. (Okay, the plant wall helps – I love my botanicals!) The coffee is really good, the staff is always friendly… it’s a nice little spot!
And this off the shoulder sweater is the greatest. It’s from Free People of course (I say of course because I tend to want every single sweater Free People makes – I’m also coveting this cozy looking cowl neck, this chunky v-neck (it looks like an Acne sweater I’ve been wanting, and the pale blue is so pretty), and this lace-up sweater (perfect with leggings!!).
Good on you for listening to your body and getting to yoga! It really does feel good, doesn’t it? ๐

It’s such a fun one!!! I hope you get there! xo
I am really learning the importance of sleep as I get older. I notice a huge difference when I can get to bed by 10pm (9pm bedtimes are even better!) – it changes so many things throughout the day. If I am tired from staying up too late, I’m way less likely to workout the next day, and way more likely to eat out or eat quick convenience food as I’m too tired or didn’t leave myself enough time in the morning to pack a lunch to take to work! Sleep affects so many things! Embrace it, haha! Sometimes it feels lame but it’s really important.
Right??? I notice such a difference. I fully embrace getting lamer and lamer as I get older! xo
A Sunday full of self care sounds like an amazing end (or start!) to the week! Setting a “bedtime alarm” is really helpful for me – once it goes off, I’m much more likely to start getting ready for bed.
Happy Monday! xo
Oh my gosh that is such a smart idea! May need to copy!!!
I really need to come visit you and tour your hood. Looks so cute!
YES PLEASE VISIT!!! We need a CT/Brooklyn exchange program. I also desperately need to meet Miss Amalia! xo

Thanks so much Natali!! Have a great week ahead.
Ooh this coffee shop is so cute—I’ll have to check it out! The vibe kind of reminds me of AP Cafe in Bushwick.

I’ve never been to AP! Will have to check out! xo
That Free People sweater is super cute! I love the off-the-shoulder style and it looks so cozy! And Kinfolk Coffee looks like such a cute place, especially with all the greenery.

Thanks Helen!! Have a great week ahead ๐
Hi Grace – I’m considering buying the wedges you’re wearing as I know that you’ve continuously vouched for them. Could you comment on sizing – ie. do they run large/small or true to size? Thank you!
Totally, completely, true to size!!!
The only thing I will say is that they do run narrow (but I have narrow feet). If that is an issue I’d recommend getting the suede ones vs. patent as they stretch out more!
Such a cute and casual outfit! Perfect for little weekend outings! Coffee is always a nice plus too! We will have to check out this coffee shop next time we are in Brooklyn!

Agreed, I’m looooving any sweater Free People makes, and this one is amazing! Sounds like you had a great weekend! I’m hoping to get to 3 different classes (Pilates, Barre, and SoulCycle) this week so switch things up and give my body different workouts!
The Champagne Edit
Right!? They are THE BEST!!! Soooo comfy and a great price.
Good job for you on 3 different classes – that’s amazing! xo
Love the wellness challenge! I started Whole 30 for the first time since January 2 and it isnโt as bad as I thought it would be! I am a bit tired to still work because of the change in diet but maybe Iโll take your advice and try yoga!
That is awesome! The Whole 30 sounds so intimidating to me but I know others really love it!!!
hi! I’ve been eyeing the Free People top. Can I ask what size you bought?
I got a medium!
