Workouts were back on track and pretty standard this week… I got to the gym 5x this week which I felt pretty good about!
On Sunday morning I got up and took the 9:40am Core Fusion Barre class at Exhale. So. good. This is my favorite because 9:40 isn’t too early but you still have the whole day ahead of you. Also, it is usually taught by Jennie Kim – my absolute favorite teacher at Exhale. She works you hard and is really good about making sure you are using proper form. I find that at Exhale the classes vary drastically based upon who your instructor is, so I always look forward to Jennie’s classes.
Monday was yoga, and on Tuesday I tried out ModelFit with my friend Louise. I am officially obsessed with their boxing class. It is basically like recess, for adults. They split us up into three groups of three people where we did intervals of boxing and cardio. My favorite part was the cardio part because it was on a trampoline and I am a child. We punched, we kicked, we did abs + leg lifts… and of course we jumped on the trampoline a whole bunch. It was really, really fun… I hadn’t had so much fun working out in a long time. Of course I was terrible at the actual boxing {especially at the kicking part.} The poor instructor spent a good deal of the class reminding me not to swing my leg when kicking — and trying not to laugh at me, I think. I definitely recommend trying this though, it was fun!
On Wednesday morning I got up and dragged myself to Chaise Fitness {always such a good workout!} and then on Thursday, it was more yoga… my friend Mollie and I went to the 7am class with Hilaria – my favorite!
Lots of links this week…
- I am dying to make this “almost instant” chocolate chia pudding. Yum.
- Some good reasons to exercise (besides the obvious.)
- I thought this story was really inspirational {and realistic} – from junk food to vegan.
- Dying to try Throwback Fitness!
- This might be the prettiest smoothie ever… I really want to make it.
- And this caprese salad looks insanely delicious – and healthy.
Love your mix of workouts!! And that tie-dye smoothie with your links looks delicious! 🙂
The modelfit class sounds like so much fun!

Love your reviews of all these places and was waiting for you to review modelfit! I heard that it was pretty hyped up and they kind of “snub” people who don’t look like a model or a certain way, but glad to know you had a positive experience!
Hi Sonia,
I didn’t think it was snobby at all! And my friend and I definiteley don’t look like models 🙂 My only caveat is that it is expensive… hoping they do a deal on Gilt City or something soon!
