Color of the Moment: Butter Yellow

If there is one “it” color for Summer 2024, it’s butter yellow. I have been seeing it everywhere and I really, really like it. It looks great with a tan, it’s mellow and effortless. It’s almost a neutral but it’s just a little more fun. You could wear it with whites and tans to keep the look a little safe (the yellow is so pale that it feels like a neutral!), or pair it with a pop of bright green or navy blue. I also love the way pale yellow pairs with turquoise (maybe a butter yellow sundress with a turquoise earring?) and other pastels (the more, the merrier if you ask me!)

I dipped my toe in the water with this dress from J.Crew (the back is amazing), but want to add a few more casual pieces to my wardrobe. My top picks are this yellow button down from the Gap (just ordered – it’s on sale and pretty perfect!) and this pointelle sweater from Boden (also on sale, a great price and the perfect weight for summer). I ordered this sundress last night as I put the finishing touches on this post and I can’t resist the marbled pattern of these Lele Sadoughi earrings (on sale too!).

But also, shoes! These sandals look like Toteme or some other fancy brand but nope… Banana Republic! Last but not least, I can’t stop thinking about these pretty satin Loeffler flats. I am fairly certain I would ruin them but they are just so stunning.
