The Best Breezy Tees

Most days, I’m in jeans (or shorts) and a tee. Finding the perfect tee is the best feeling. It’s also for me, a rare one! When the fabric is just right, the cut is where you want it, etc.! Just right can mean a lot of different things. Maybe you want to be able to tuck it in. Maybe you want something with just enough drape. Or maybe you want a heavier-weight fabric. We’ve culled through so many options to bring you just the best. Read on for our favorites.

Grace:

In some cases, if it isn’t broken, why fix it? In this case, this affordable Hanes tee is the best. It’s easily my most worn tee. For something a little fancier, I’m loving the brand Sold/out. I have their classic “perfect tee” in black and white but I also really love their linen tee. Kule is another favorite. For a tomboy fit, also I love this white tee.

Another tried & true favorite is Jenni Kayne’s vintage-inspired pocket tee. It’s a classic for a reason. Size down if you want a more tailored fit as it’s a bit roomy, but I like it that way. One newer brand I’m really liking is Rowan. Their slub tees are perfection. I have the faded black and reach for it constantly. I will add that I really wish Wal-Mart would bring back this t-shirt. n fact, I have several in grey and it just keeps getting better with age.

Carly:

I wish I could say that when I get dressed for the day I reach for my sweet summer dresses or a fun tank to pair with tailored shorts, but with this Charleston heat, there’s a very slim chance I put anything on that’s not a tee and jeans. I am attempting to build a closet of essential white tees and feel like I’m really getting somewhere with it.

If you need a deep dive into where to find the BEST white t-shirt, take a scroll through Mya Gelber’s recommendations. She’s done some pretty hefty research. And I’ve actually found some tried and true essentials through her work. At this point, almost all of the shirts that I reach for daily are from COS. The cut and material of this colorblock tee is to die for. I’ve also been keeping an eye on this striped box tee from Everlane and this contrast tee from Vince!
