Augustinus Bader’s Revolutionary Skincare (+ GIVEAWAY!)

WHY TFC8® WORKS

I have talked here at length about my love affair with Augustinus Bader — the cult G-Beauty brand inspired by 30 years of groundbreaking research on skin healing. I’ve written about how my favorites, The Rich Cream and The Cream, knocked my socks off (read this post if you are new to the brand), and more recently about the primer that Professor Bader developed with Victoria Beckham.

Well, today I am teaming up with the brand (!!!) to explore the science behind Professor Bader’s revolutionary skincare (hint: it’s all about TFC8®!!!) AND do an exciting giveaway! The brand has generously offered to gift one lucky reader a head-to-toe prize: The Discovery Duo (which contains The Rich Cream and The Cream, valued at $370) and The Body Cream ($165). Scroll to the bottom to enter.

Ok, so let’s talk about TFC8®, or Trigger Factor Complex — the key to the powers of all of Professor Bader’s products. This unique complex of natural amino acids, high-grade vitamins and other powerful ingredients optimizes the skin’s natural renewal, and is the reason why these creams deliver real results.

WHY TFC8® WORKS

WHY TFC8® WORKS

Found in every Augustinus Bader product, TFC8® (Trigger Factor Complex) is Professor Bader’s patented technology. It’s made up of over 40 different ingredients to renew and rejuvenate skin. This cutting-edge science is actually rooted in simple, natural biological wisdom. Our bodies contain trillions of cells; each cell understands exactly what to do. For instance, our skin cells are programmed to support the skin. But as we age (or in some instances, experience inflammation), this communication process can stall. And when that happens, regeneration slows, resulting in unhappy skin.

The TFC8® in all Augustinus Bader products essentially helps guide key nutrients and powerful natural ingredients (vitamins, peptides, nutrients, amino acids, and lipids) directly to the skin cells, retraining skin to do what it knows best. The result, as I’ve seen for myself, is noticeably fresher, firmer skin in just a few weeks.

I know this can sound like a lot of marketing jargon. But the reason Augustinus Bader has developed such a cult following is because these products work. Trust!! Professor Bader is the Director of Applied Stem Cell Biology at the University of Leipzig. His research is focused on helping burn victims. And one of his breakthroughs was figuring out how to create scar-free healing treatments for the disfigured. He actually developed a medical grade hydrogel which eliminated the need for skin grafts and made healing so much easier. The Augustinus Bader brand was actually created (with co-founder Charles Rosier) to help fund this scientific research.

WHY TFC8® WORKS

HOW TO GET THE BENEFITS OF TFC8®

Augustinus Bader started with two products (the face creams) but is starting to expand its range of products, from The Body Cream to Primer and now its first ever Serum. TFC8® is at the core of all of these products. So now we have a few more ways to get this highly effective skincare innovation onto and into our skin!

I asked the Augustinus Bader team something a lot of you had asked me: Why are they launching other formulas? Are we meant to use all of the products together? That feels like a lot – and can get expensive!

The team stressed that you do not need to use only Bader products. You can benefit from the TFC8® technology by using just one product. The launch of new products, such as the Power Serum, allows you to personalize the way you integrate Professor Bader’s TFC8® technology into your skincare routine, ensuring that it works best for you and your skin’s unique needs.

Case in point: while most of you love The Cream and The Rich Cream as much as I do, a few of you had mentioned it making you break out. If that’s you, then The Power Serum — a silky, lightweight alternative to the creams — can be a great way to get the TFC8® into your skin, while using a different moisturizer of your choice.

HERE’S HOW I BADER…

As you know, I have dry skin and am focused on anti-aging. I use The Rich Cream every single day. I have to test a lot of products. So if I’m testing a nighttime product, my morning routine centers around Bader. During the day I will often layer the Priming Moisturizer over The Rich Cream – the glow from this combo is amazing (I love that The Priming Moisturizer contains blurring powders and light reflecting particles!). And I love The Body Cream, especially this time of year when my skin is extra dry.

Obviously we all have different skin and what works for me might not work for you. But I think it’s great to have options. Whether you want to go fully all-in on Augustinus Bader (starting with the Power Serum, then applying one of the creams, and finishing it off with The Priming Moisturizer) or just choose your one favorite product, what’s important is getting that TFC8® into your skin!

hi grace! so excited about this. quick question, i noticed you switched to calling Dr. Bader “Prof Bader.” Any specific reason? thanks! 🙂

      Hey Rachel,
I think that’s just what the brand prefers. This is the first time I’ve ever partnered with the brand, all of my other mentions have been organic. So going forward as that is what the brand / Professor Bader prefer, that’s what I’ll call him! 🙂

Hi hi! I heard from the brand in case you were curious 🙂

“He is both a Professor and a Doctor of regenerative medicine, so he could be called either. He usually introduces himself as professor.”

Grace, have you tried the Skinceuticals triple lipid cream? I searched on your blog, but I didn’t see it mentioned. I would love to know a comparison between the products! I purchased the triple lipid cream in February after dealing with super dry skin this winter and it has been a lifesaver.

i emailed them, they sent me a new product. i’ve noticed that if i use it once then let it sit for weeks/days in between use, it separates. if i use it continuously, no separation. that’s just what’s helped me!

I’m so excited you got to partner with this brand! You’ve been so loyal to them. That’s awesome! I’ve been curious about this product, but it’s a bit out of the price range I typically spend on skincare. Honestly after hearing more about their process and the fact they’ve been conducting medical research to help burn victims I understand the pricing a bit more.

Hi Grace! I couldn’t find the answer to this in other posts … do you use a Vitamin C serum with Bader or is it not necessary ( I know they say nothing but clean, tone, cream but I also remember reading you still use SKI II essence?) Is this legit enough skincare? Right now, at night, I alternate a strong acid with a retinol … would you get rid of the acid? Any thoughts/advice are appreciated! 🙂 (and sorry in advance if I missed the answer to this somewhere else).

    9.30.20 Reply
    • grace at the stripe:

No I do not. I follow their instructions. Sometime I will use essence before but mostly just tone and then do Bader. There’s a reason it’s so expensive – it’s got everything you need!

At night, I also alternate acid and retinol. Basically do acid 2x a week, retinol 2x a week, and just Bader.
