4 Ways to Wear this Season’s Denim.

4 ways to style denim

Today’s post is a direct result of your feedback. A few weeks ago, we had a story about Spring denim and all the different silhouettes out there right now. The Facebook group had questions! How do we wear these newer silhouettes?

So today, we are sharing some ideas. This was a collaborative effort. Carly did the styling. The collages feature (mostly!) pieces I personally own and love. I helped finish the looks with my favorite accessories, etc. And I have to say, I feel very lucky to have her help here. I never would have put together the denim and chambray look toward the bottom but I absolutely love it! This post was a big undertaking, but a fun one. I really hope it’s helpful and inspires you to mix up your own denim!

Above: My spin on look 3 (see below!). Ganni Blouse, Madewell Jeans, Sezane Bag, Sam Edelman Slides, Celine Sunglasses (v old!)

The Reformation Wide Legs

I love this look. It is simple and chic; on trend without being too trendy! The wider leg jeans look great with something a little more bare on top (this crochet tank is such a pretty summer staple!). Shells and mesh flats are both on trend but not too trendy. Top it off with classic accessories in a deeper neutral (this color brown is a favorite of mine!)

The Uniqlo Straight Jeans

The Uniqlo Straight Jeans

This is a more classic (and very New York) look. The $50 Uniqlo jeans that Carly and I both have and love, loafers, a blazer, a white tee. I have a real block around wearing this sort of denim with a flat shoe like a loafer but Carly inspires me here. Just cuff the jeans!

The Cropped Jean

This look feels the most natural to me. A breezy top, these amazing cropped jeans (one of my most favorite purchases), shells, & raffia! These jeans were one of my best purchases. They are the most comfortable but also very on trend and cute. The Doen blouse is top of my shopping list.

My take on look 4 (below!) Sezane button down, AGOLDE shorts, J.Crew necklace, Thatch cuff, Palmgrens Bag, Emme Parsons Fisherman Sandals

The Cuffed Short

Carly and I both felt super inspired by Anne Hathaway’s Coachella look in The Idea of You. That oversized chambray shirt! (I had looked it up and it is by The Elder Statesman and extremely $$ and also sold out). The best alternative I’ve found has been this chambray button down from Sezane but I’d love to find one that is even longer so that you can’t see the shorts (or can only see the bottom). I will continue to hunt. Regardless, I love the Sezane shirt.
