By now you know that I just spent five jam-packed days in France with Saint James. It’s funny. The brand’s PR director reached out, encouraging us to pack light as we’d been traveling by van. Later she admitted to me that she’d worried most about me as my content is the most fashion-focused of the group. I giggled as I never check. I refuse. It’s not because I am just super cool and low-maintenance… I just hate, hate, hate waiting for my bag… and am always a little bit paranoid that I’m going to get robbed when I check.
I like packing for these sorts of trips though… I look at it as a fun challenge. You have to really love everything you pack… and everything has to easily mix + match. (Especially with stripes. Besides this blue and white tee, I packed three other Saint James tees). I realized after the fact that I packed a LOT of J.Crew. My panama hat, this army jacket (definitely a wardrobe MVP – I wore it the entire trip), these espadrilles… I forgot how many of my favorite things come from them! This isn’t everything that I packed, and I didn’t get around to taking photos of all of my outfits, but this should give you a good idea… and then I made a collage at the end of the post to break it all down!

I wore the above outfit to dinner on the first night. This polka dot dress is pretty old now (it’s from C. Wonder!!) but the one I linked to above is pretty similar.

I wore this dress in yesterday’s post – ha! I told you I have been getting a lot of wear out of it. It’s now on sale (available here + here) and is just so versatile… you can dress it up (or as is the case), dress it down!

The bulk of what I wore is linked in the collage below… enjoy! ๐
Clockwise from top right: Polka Dot Dressย (mine is C.Wonder but this is very similar) // J.Crew Boyfriend Denim Shorts // Gold Birkenstock Sandals // Julie Vos Drop Earrings // Krewe Sunglasses // Saint James Striped Tee // Hartmann Weekenderย // Tumi International Carry-on // J.Crew Panama Hat // Clare V Leopard Clutch // Cuyana Tote // J.Crew Espadrilles // BaubleBar Pisa Cuff (my FAVE!) // J.Crew Army Jacket // Madewell Slub Tee // Fujifilm X-T10 Cameraย (it started as my travel camera but now I use it for everything).
Love everything! But especially the jacket! It is being added to my fall wardrobe shopping list. Would you recommend sizing up for layering?
Thanks, Bets! I would actually not size up. I’m between a small and a medium and went with the medium… I wish I got a small -mine’s kinda big!
PERFECTION! Absolutely love those shorts. My thighs touch so I feel like those would save me from the regrettable chafe.

You looked so cute the entire trip! I was coveting those Birks.
You packed perfectly! Love these looks, lady! I have the same army jacket – it is the perfect layering piece, and I love how you styled it!
Super sweet outfits and totally Paris like ones!! The third one is my most favourite one. ๐

Love the white dress outfit. Bold choice of bag. Interesting to know about your checked bag preference. I prefer to have my options so I’ll check if I’m going overseas and am able to watch over my bag as I travel. If I go alone, I may not check just because of carrying an extra bag around.

I bought a J Crew army jacket the fall I went to college and I still have it six years later. It’s still a wonderful jacket, but I’ve rolled up the sleeves so many times, there are a few tiny holes where the rolls are! I’m considering taking it to a tailor and having the sleeved hacked off to make a cool vest instead.
Love this one though; have to find the perfect replacement!
Love, love, love!
You are so cute. I need to get a Saint James tee!
Love the polka dot dress! The way you styled the whole outfit is super cute.
I absolutely love what you wore during your trip! Packing for trips can be tricky but you really made it work!

Love what you packed! Perfect for a quick jaunt through France!
Wondering if you’ve tried any of the new C. Wonder stuff? I know it’s QVC…but I loved the old stuff so much I wonder how the new stuff is.
I have not! I worry the quality would be terrible TBH – nothing is the same, the factories are entirely different, it’s just the label. :-/
I love, love, love everything you wore on this trip. Definitely my style – relaxed but still chic. Comfortable and classic. And stripes!
I overpack for absolutely every single trip; it doesn’t matter if it’s 2 days or 2 weeks, it doesn’t matter if actually everything matches… If it’s not too much, could you make a post on “how-to” pack light? Like advice on mix and match or just whatever kind of magic you know on how to actually achieve this. From clothes, to bags to makeup, pretty much everything haha…

How do you like the Cuyana tote? I’ve been thinking of getting one, but I was afraid it might be a little too thin and flexible, like not enough structure when it has heavy things in it (like my million pound DSLR)…it looks so nice here though!
