Winter Whites.

coat // sweater // jeans // heels

I had the most anti-social weekend ever and it was everything! Does that make me sound pathetic? Ha. I think it’s what I needed after a busy week in Charleston (and before a busy week here!) I read an entire book (could not put it down!!!) AND started another one. I got caught up on work, I got to yoga, and I hung out with Tyrion. I did see Becca yesterday to record the podcast but that was the extent of my human interaction!

My friend Helena is someone who always inspires me to mix and match outfits with pieces I already have. She posted this outfit and it inspired me to pull out my own white jeans for dinner with my girlfriends. I felt a little uncomfortable wearing white jeans at first (for all of five seconds) and then got over it. I got a lot of DMs asking me “how to wear white jeans and not look fat.” LOL. You guys!

We are better than that! BUT my trick is to looking my best in white jeans (a better sentiment right??) is to always size up. White jeans in my opinion always seem to run small (could just be an optical illusion) and white/lighter colors naturally attracts the eye (so yes, I suppose that you can look bigger). I always I always buy mine a size or two bigger than I usually wear. You don’t want them to be even remotely tight.

Also, heels. Always. I went with a lower heel for practicality’s sake BUT usually pair my white jeans with my trusty nude patent Manolos (aka the most leg-lengthening shoes ever!)

Oh and I posted a new Youtube video! How to get yoga skin — instagram’s latest makeup trend and one I’m actually excited about.

white jeans are the devil haha! BUT you are right, I recently realized you have to get a size bigger, they rarely look flattering when they are super tight.

I also think the trick to good white jeans is investing in quality ones. The fabric tends to be a little thicker and more flattering. Loving the hem on these! I only own one pair of white jeans, I may need to add these to the closet!

Love this look so much! You look fabulous!

I wear my white jeans all winter and the keys to me are spending money on better quality (thicker fabric) and while I do wear my skinnies, my trouser-cut white jeans get most of the love. I saw a picture of J Lo in white bootcut pants and a black turtleneck with black stiletto ankle boots about 15 years and I’m pretty sure it’s the only J Lo look that I can pull off but it’s one of my fave winter looks.

I love the layered whites! I’m sure I’ve mentioned it before, my friend calls it her “monk” day or weekend. She tells everyone she is not available. No phone, no emails, texts, etc. Pure alone time. After giving endlessly out to the world, we all need a recharge. No reason to feel guilty. Since my job is basically working in a Vegas casino, I do this weekly, for at least an afternoon. If you work alone or in a quieter office, you may not need it as much. Time to process and reflect is priceless and good for our health. Good for you Grace! 🙂

I love this look, but have yet to wear white jeans in the winter myself! I don’t know what it is, just doesn’t even cross my mind!

I’ve never worn white pants in my life. I’m too scared of staining them or getting them dirty.

Haha! Maybe give white jeans a try – you can always throw ’em in the wash with some bleach.

I love this outfit! I can’t wear white jeans tho, they are dirty after 10 minutes every time, it’s embarrassing. The same thing is happening with white shirts- which is a bummer since I work in corporate environment.
