Winter Skin Challenge.

This time of year, my skin (especially on my arms and legs) gets really, really dry. Like, gross dry – cracked heels, scaly legs… oof. It’s bad. I inherited my dad’s dry skin and it’s the worst in the winter, especially in New York as the weather has suddenly turned so harsh and cold!

Olay reached out, inviting me to participate in their Winter Skin Challenge. I am always game to try anything that will help to fight dry skin and was already intrigued as I’d heard good things about their Moisture Ribbons Plus Body Wash (it’s their most indulgent formula) but when I heard the fragrances (decadent Manuka Honey + comforting Lavender), I knew I had to take them up on their offer. Both sounded so therapeutic (hey, I’ve been stressed!) Honey is so good for your skin and I love the way it smells… and I’ve always loved lavender – especially before bedtime.

As I mentioned before, Olay Moisture Ribbons Plus body wash is their most indulgent formula – perfect for overcoming the harsh effects of winter. The key ingredient is Shea butter which deep conditions the skin to leave it super soft and smooth. It’s a double formula so it cleanses and moisturizes simultaneously.

I loved the formula. It’s ultra creamy and rich – as I lathered up in the shower I knew it would leave my skin more hydrated. Apply to a shower puff and lather up! I like using a puff as it also gently exfoliates the skin. After showering, I dried off and applied my usual body moisturizer and was really impressed with how soft and hydrated my skin was). I guess the secret to hydrated skin starts in the shower – I will be swapping out my usual shower gel for these creamy washes all winter long. The Manuka Honey scent is so indulgent and the Lavender is perfect for a nighttime shower – it left me so relaxed!

Olay is encouraging you to take your own Winter Skin Challenge! Pick up a bottle of Moisture Ribbons Plus – even after just one use your skin will be softer and more moisturized.

My skin is the same way! I get SO dry in the winter, it’s embarrassing and itchy. I definitely need to try this out. I’ve also been using Jergens Wet Moisturizer, which you apply after your shower and before toweling off. It’s definitely helping my skin!
