Every February fashion week, I do the exact same thing. I complain and whine that it’s by far the coldest fashion week we’ve had yet, and how am I possibly supposed to look cute and dress up!? This year was no exception… it was bad out there! I do think my shearling coat made things a bit more tolerable. I’ve been layering it over (always long-sleeved) dresses and (always over the knee) boots for a look that is warm and cozy but still chic. It’s the only way to get away with not wearing pants!
PS – When we shot these photos, Lydia was all like… “are you going boho on me?” I laughed a little (Stevie Nicks is more or less my fashion role model these days) but for the record, I don’t think I’ve gone fully boho… I just really love lace and right now I’m just really into midi + maxi dresses.
Outfit Details: Tahari Shearling Coat (this isn’t shearling but it is super cute and a lot more affordable) // For Love & Lemons Dress (also here) // Forever21 Beanie (love this one too) //Stuart Weitzman Highland Boots (lower priced option here) // Chanel Black 2.55 Purse
I’m off to London this morning! I had the greatest time with Aly + her family. Lots of lazy sweatpants time and playing with the kids. We did have one little adventure where I got to indulge my inner Game of Thrones nerd, but more or less we just stayed home. I’ve been to Belfast seven or eight times now, so I didn’t feel like I was missing out on sight-seeing or anything… these visits are more about quality time + getting to catch up!
