Early Summer Wedding Guest Edit

This edit makes me happy because it is so fun and tropical. We do a wedding guest/special event edit every few months, which is always a big reader request. I am at the age of having very few weddings (there are far more divorce parties than weddings for me, these days!) to attend, but Charleston’s events scene means lots of garden parties and fancy fundraisers, so I still have lots of reason to get dressed up.

What to wear to a wedding: summer 2025

I love wearing bold colors to a wedding or party. I am not suggesting you upstage the bride by any means (I’ve heard that red can be a faux pas, but that’s never been the case at any of the weddings I’ve attended. When in doubt, check with the bride). The way I see it is that weddings are meant to be celebratory, so why not throw on a celebratory color?
