What to Wear on Thanksgiving

Hope you had a cozy weekend. Today, by popular request, here are some fun outfit ideas for what to wear on Thanksgiving! Can you believe it’s just over two weeks away?

Whether you are traveling, staying home, in the North (or the South), or attending a reunion (that request has come in a few times, so I wanted to handle that, too!), there’s outfit inspiration galore. It was fun to put together, and if I might add one last-minute suggestion, either one of these Doรชn dresses (this or this โ€”size down in both!) would be fabulous (and big meal friendly!).

Lastly, this Amazon clutch (pictured above!) gets two thumbs up from me. The quality is excellent and it looks like it could be Bottega.

Staying In

If you are staying around, just bumming around the house, a cozy set like this one is perfect. Add a cute earring, a fun scrunchie, and loafers for polish. I have talked about this lip treatment and love it so much. It’s glossy but not sticky and gives your lips the best shot of plumping hydration. Use GRACE20 for 20% off.

I love this look and replicated it above (though I swapped in thisย heavyweight Cos teeย vs. the pointelle shirt (I have the pointelle tee as well, but when I put it on, I felt more polished with something a little more structured). I’ve talked about Guest in Residence and their cashmere quite a bit, but can’t recommend this striped sweater enough. It is so soft + cozy and I really love these colors together!

Going Out

A few of you asked for a reunion outfit idea, and this assumes it’s a bigger reunion where you want to feel more pulled together: this look just feels so chic to me! I love that it feels structured yet feminine, it’s the perfect more sophisticated look. (For something more casual, I’d wear either of the Doรชn dresses I linked at the top of the post, and mary janes!) These pants are a great dupe for The Row’s Gala Pants (which I wholeheartedly LOVE but are so expensive), and I love this Amazon clutch!

In the South

A fun and playful look for those doing fall in a warmer climate. I absolutely love this Hill House dress (I also have it in black). Unlike the Ellie dress, this one runs more true to size (I wear a medium!). Highly, highly recommend for something that is both comfortable and very cute. Add a fun shoe and a lurex sock and you’re ready go go.

In the North

As someone who grew up in the Northeast (and lived in Massachusetts and then New York) for the first 39 years of my life, I’ve gotta say that this makes me miss brisk fall New England weather. It will always feel weird to me to go to Thanksgiving dinner and not need a coat! So I’m living vicariously here. Jeans that have just a little stretch so that you’ll be comfortable, a cozy sweater, a classic barn jacket. Easy! And these ballet flats are now on major sale + are such a good dupe for the Loro Piana Rebecca flats.
