It was a very festive (heavy on the dresses!) kind of week, and to be honest looking back on this makes me realize why I’m a little tired right now (going to have a quiet night in tonight!). Santa Monica! Flying home! Becca’s visit! This summer definitely is shaping up to be a fun one, so far – no complaints from me.
So here we are with everything I wore last week. I try to share my outfits on stories as well but always get those “wait what was that XX thing you wore three days ago?” messages so hopefully these weekly roundups are helpful! I say this all the time, but the blog is always going to be home base… even though Instagram has become more and more important from a business/revenue perspective, I still spend more time working on the blog than any of my other projects/social channels! I have had this blog for eleven years now (!!!) and it will always be my number one. 🙂
What I Wore Last Week, 6.2.21
Monday
Lounging poolside at The Proper Santa Monica (love, love this hotel – will have photos + more from my trip to CA later this week… such a nice trip). I wore my Eberjey swimsuit (runs TTS) with my Lilla P x Look Linger Love pareo. And the gold birks, of course Bag is my Abby Alley crossbody bag.
Tuesday
Travel day! Back to Charleston. Madewell denim jacket (so so old but they still make the same one I think), the prettiest paisley dress from Ba&sh (a surprisingly great travel dress, so silky and comfy and didn’t wrinkle like I thought it would), gold birkenstocks. My luggage: Away carry-on roller (the gold was limited edition) and tan leather Everywhere bag (unfortunately they don’t make the tan anymore but there are a couple leather options). Also used my Abby Alley crossbody bag.
Wednesday
Working from home. I wore the cutest Anthropologie eyelet dress (wearing a small), and my Sarah Flint Heels (color is Sand). Honestly, get this dress. It’s the best. I do recommend sizing down, I’m usually a 6 in dresses so go with either a small or a medium and the small is loose.
Thursday
More working from home. Wore my fav little Target nightgown dress (yes, have this in two colors!) and my beloved gold birks.
Friday
Working from home, a few meetings on Zoom. I wore this pretty yellow Farm Rio dress and my fav gold Loeffler Randall sandals.
Saturday
Pool Day: I wore this Amazon coverup (an obsession!) + these Freedom Moses Slides.
Dinner and drinks at my friend’s beach house on Sullivan’s Island: I wore this Rhode dress (such a favorite) and the leopard Loeffler Randall slides. I will say the Rhode dress is a giant sack with a belt, so sizing is really based on length. I am 5’8 and prefer the medium.
Sunday
We went to Bowen’s Island to see my dad play music. I wore this Farm Rio dress and these popsicle earrings. I started out in the Margaux heels but when my mom picked us up she told me I was too dressed up (lol) so I took the heels off and put on my plastic birks!

Thanks Charmaine!
Just bought the Target dress based on your rec- love it!
It’s so good!!!!!
So glad that “what I wore” posts are back now that we have places to go and people to see!!
I’m so happy you enjoy them!
Loving all of the Farm Rio and the comment from your mom made me LOL! 🙂
haha made me laugh too. she was right – the place was very divey!!!
Looooove the blue farm rio dress! All of it really, but that one’s my fave. I haven’t tried their dresses before…what size do you get?
They run very true to size. I take a medium.
Hi Grace! Would you mind sharing what size you wear in the farm rio macaw dress? We’re similar builds and I also go between small and medium in dresses. A bit worried about length on the small – I’m 5’7. Thanks!!
Never mind! Should have read the comments ♀️
Def go up to a medium…. I am 5’8 and it’s a little short! But not too short… just would be if I got a small 🙂
What are your thoughts on the freedom moses sandals?! Do you prefer plastic birks?
I like them! They’re comfy and cute. From a pure comfort POV I’d do the birks, but the freedom moses come in so many fun colors and patterns and are also comfy.
