For the first time in my life, I’ve made a pretty big swing in how I spend my disposable income. I’ve always been one to splurge on my wardrobe and skimp on everything else, but I really want my apartment to feel special and “me.” The big purchases have been made for the most part, and my next big focus will be the wall above my couch, and picking out art. I want every piece in my apartment to have a special meaning behind it so for the most part, it will all be stuff that I either make myself or commission my friends to make. (Expect to see some loveliness from Dallas, Meg, Aly, and Becca on my gallery wall.) But the one thing I do plan to really splurge on will be one of Gray Malin’s photos. I love all of his aerial shots, especially the beach + park ones… but haven’t decided which one. I think what it will come down to is whether I want to get something familiar (Central Park) or exotic (a beach in Australia that I’d only dream of visiting!)

these are awesome!! love the idea of both… though maybe a photo to help you escape the craziness of the city? something about looking at water, beaches, etc., always relaxes me.
I love Gray Malin’s work!!!
And I totally relate to the shift in disposable income. Especially as I spend so much time working from home, it’s SO important for me to feel inspired by my space. I’ve been making a lot of big changes and I feel really good and proud of them!
BTW, loving the re-design, Grace!! xoxo
aww! they are amazing! love the beach ones, specially the ones taken from further away.
I love your blog. truly inspirational.

First of all, OBSESSED with the new layout. So clean and editorial! Secondly, I say a beach print – the perfect balance of color and neutral!
I am SO in love with his work!!! I’ve been dying to get my hands on one of the Coney Island prints for ages (they go on sale sometimes on One King’s Lane, by the way!) 😉
Blonde in this City
First – love the site redesign! Looks so good and fresh 🙂
I love these prints — I don’t think you can go wrong, but the Central Park one could be a great keepsake & memory of New York if you ever leave the city.
i love him! i really want one of his marfa prints! i have switched from spending all my money on my wardrobe to spending it all to make my home feel me, which takes awhile since i am on a very small budget.
I adore Gray Malin’s stuff! I’m actually trying to decide which print to hang in my own apartment. I’m leaning toward a beach/water one since that’s where I feel the most at peace.
Also, LOVE the redesign. So chic!!
oo fun! i vote blue watter and blankets! such pretty colors! xo
I LOVE his work also. Tip for saving some $$ on this splurge — follow him on facebook, every once in a while he offers 20-30% off.
Also keep an eye on One Kings Lane who often has flash sales of his. Found both of my pieces of his these ways for a fraction of the cost 🙂
Vote: Beach w/ blue blankets.
I LOVE the new redesign, Grace! Gray Malin’s work is a favorite- I would love to have one of his pieces in my home, especially since I just moved a few blocks from the beach!
