“Nowhere I need to be right now.” Those are my favorite words, lately. My life often feels so scheduled… there is always somewhere I need to be… I don’t often get to relax and just breathe. You might know that I usually shoot all of my outfit posts before work, in the early mornings. Last weekend, I met up with my friend – and blog photographer Lydia for a more laid back shoot. It was so nice. It felt great to get to take our time and actually have fun shooting rather than be all business all the time. We grabbed iced teas at David’s Tea, and goat milk ice cream at Victory Garden (holy moly – so good!) and just made a little afternoon out of it. After the shoot I was about to get on the subway with her to head home, and then I realized I didn’t have anywhere to be… so I just walked home.
PS – We did not photoshop that pic above… Lydia shot it with her crazy wide angle lense and it stretched me out! I wish my legs looked that long in real life.

Very cute look! And I can totally relate to what you wrote. Nothing better than a completely free afternoon every once in a while! 🙂

Wonderful and Marvelous
Such a fun shoot! I don’t know how you do it, honestly… it’s something that I’ve learned about myself in recent years, if I have something that takes me straight from work to an event I am absolutely wiped the next day. I just don’t function well without regular down time! Glad you were able to find some for yourself!!
xo!

The West Village was always one of my favorite places to get lost when I lived in NYC. Love this look too, that scallop on skirt is so fun!
