One of my favorite parts of blogging is that there are often fun perks that I can share with my loved ones. When The Wequassett Resort and Golf Club (one of the nicest hotels/resorts on Cape Cod) reached out about a little “staycation” while I was home, I was so excited. I had grown up visiting the property (years ago, when I was a bus-girl at my parents’ restaurant, one of the head waitresses would take us all there for a fancy lunch on their porch to say thank you. I still remember how good their virgin strawberry daiquiris were!!) But I had never actually stayed there. Cape Cod is family time, so I was quite insistent that my mom and sisters would need to join me. (My poor dad had to work at the restaurant as they are a bit short-staffed right now – still figuring out what I can do to treat him!!)
They booked us two (beautiful) adjoining rooms and really rolled out the red carpet for us. I felt like a celebrity! Every single detail was perfect and the property is just so gorgeous. I wanted to stay forever. I showed the room on my snapchat but forgot to take photos with my camera. Let’s just say it was spectacular. Each room had a giant jacuzzi tub, big fluffy beds… even a fireplace.
When we checked into our room, a cheese plate, water, and a nice bottle of Pinot Noir was waiting for us. (This sounds silly but it was like they knew me… I always prefer red wine to white… even in the summer).
With my sisterrrrs on our porch!
Wearing: Suncoo Dress (on sale; also seen in this post – I’m obsessed with this one, too!) // Chanel Purse // Gold Birkenstocks (I’m now on my second pair of these, haha!)
Beautiful ladies.. my sister Meredith, my mom, my sister Becca.
pre-dinner wine + Avocado/Crab toast on the porch…
A champagne toast… we had the most amazing dinner at the property’s fine dining restaurant, Twenty-Eight Atlantic. My sister and I split the Miso Cod and the steak… both were incredible!
The next morning (as if we needed it!!!) we ordered a little room service breakfast and sat around like fancy ladies in our robes… enjoying every bite!
After breakfast, we hit the pool, where we had a cabana for the day! It was such a treat and so nice having a shady place to read. I let myself lay out for a little bit and go for a swim in the pool but I am really careful about how much sun I get these days, so I spent most of the day in the shade.
A few poolside necessities… all of the sunscreens, , my fave black sunglasses, my gold birks again and I know I’ve already talked about it here but Big Little Lies was just SO good! It’s one of the best books I’ve read lately – anddd it’s being turned into an HBO series with Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman which I absolutely cannot wait for! Prior to this one I read The Husband’s Secret and I just ordered another book… all by the same author, Liane Moriarty (What Alice Forgot)… I can’t wait to read it, everything she writes is just so good! (She has another one coming out 7/26… of course I pre-ordered it).
And of course I packed my new Lindroth Design bag – so obsessed with it!
Thank you to The Wequassett for an amazing stay!!
Love.

Wonderful pictures, Grace! Made me feel like I was right there with you, your mom and sisters. We love Cape Cod and the Wequassett! Isn’t the view from the Twenty-Eight Atlantic dining room stunning?
It’s nice to see that you were able to bring your family. Double whammy since you were already in Cape Cod, I believe? Thanks for sharing 🙂
