Happy weekend! I hope you had a great week. I returned from my trip to Mexico yesterday afternoon to perfect Spring weather in New York… what a treat! The trip was amazing. We spent most of Thursday in the jungle with this incredible Mayan family. They were so warm… welcoming us into their home… teaching us about the local plants and vegetables + the honey harvesting process (I got to actually extract honey from a hive using a syringe!), and even cooked us a traditional Mayan meal. The stuff of bucket lists… the visit was definitely something I will always remember! This weekend, I don’t have a lot planned. Seeing my sister + my cousin, a late lunch with Jenn on Sunday… we’ll see what else unfolds. All I really know is that it’s time to get back into the gym… I’m missing my regular workouts! Whatever you are up to, I hope it’s great! xx
Before we dive into the links, I have a fun invitation for you if you are in New York! You may remember (from this post!) that I am a member of the on the 100cameras advisory board. This is something I’m really proud to be a part of – it’s an incredible cause that manages to empower children, foster the arts, and give back to communities. We are throwing our first big fundraiser on May 19th and I would love for you to attend! Tickets can be purchased here… come! It is sure to be an amazing evening and I’d love for you to join if you are able.
If you love Southern Charm and your pet, you are probably going to be really excited about this.
As you probably know by now, this Spring is all about the statement top. At only $80, this one is super chic and won’t break the bank.
So funny – guys on dating apps that you should probably avoid.
I love the look of clean acrylic frames but they can get so expensive. My interior designer Camila did a really amazing tutorial on her blog – I had no idea how easy they are to make!!!
This is one of the cutest dresses I’ve seen for Spring so far (I just ordered it!) and it’s only $68!
I loved this interview with one of my favorite natural beauty gurus.
You know I can’t say no to a good palm leaf. My friend Ashley sent me this palm leaf travel mug and I’m completely obsessed with it… definitely puts a little pep in my step for morning meetings!
How awesome is The Letter Project? Women writing letters to girls around the world who need a bit of encouragement. I love the idea.
Yum! Katie’s Blackberry Bramble recipe sounds so good – I need to try this.
I have been wearing this striped t-shirt dress nonstop. It’s so comfy and I love the tassel sleeves!
Liz looks so cute in her mom jeans. I haven’t tried this trend yet but am tempted…
This top reminds me of fruit stripe gum… in the best way possible. Would be so cute with white jeans!
Frustrated by instagram lately? Me too. My engagement was so terrible in Mexico and I have no idea why. I’m spending some time diving into it this weekend but in the meantime, Krista’s instagram advice seems pretty legit.
Jenn’s printed dress is so chic. I thought it would be expensive but it’s only $83. May need to play copycat.
Not only is this clutch straw… it’s shaped like a shell! I need it!!
I already have fun derby plans next weekend but if I didn’t, I would 1,000% make this derby-inspired cocktail!
ASOS did this fun feature on ruffles and I seriously want everything: this sheer top, this midi skirt, this fun take on a peplum, and this gingham top. The best part? It’s all so affordable.
Want to be successful? It’s time to give up these things.
Loved Jess’s real talk about freelance life. Also loved Meghan’s Career Q&A.
Totally frivolous but I wannnnnt them.
How to mask a hangover for Sunday brunch.
The perfect cami to layer under all your Spring jackets.
Loved Victoria’s book list. I completely agree re: reading physical books, and her thoughts on The Perfume Collector!
In case you need a little motivation…
Because a pineapple beach blanket is always a good idea.
Oh. my. God…. how fantastic is this (pink) bathroom makeover!? Love.
My new favorite sneakers (size up if you are between sizes).
Looking for a bargain? these are the things that go on sale in May.
Roberta Roller Rabbit always has such pretty things. I am swooning over this top.
The latest trend in manicures is something nice and low-maintenance: the no manicure-manicure! Hooray!!
I haven’t tried the mom jeans trend myself too and am tempted. I mean, it’s been around for quite a while now…

Thanks Michael! xx
I really LOVE the idea of The Letter Project, but was disappointed to see that it seems to be religious in nature (I do NOT mean disappointed in you in any way, I think it’s awesome that you featured it! I’m just bummed because I was about to sign up until I came to the “Christ-centered” part which I feel excludes so many of us who have so much encouragment to offer to our fellow females!). Any idea if there are any non-denominational groups out there doing something similar?
Hi! I work with the letter project and am in no way religious. For every request there is the option to have religion included or left out. Let me know if you have any questions!
Oooh you know what, I didn’t even see that!!! That’s hard, I feel like a lot of faith based companies are doing great things (but I can understand the turn-off). Based upon Elizabeth’s comment it seems like you could still contribute in a non-denominational way?
