Weekend Reading

 byrdie2

This week was a much welcome respite from the crazy few weeks I’ve had from fashion week/post fashion week catch-up. It was nice to not have very many events after work. I took Tuesday off from work to do this… and saw friends a few nights but mostly just caught up on work + sleep. And finished House of Cards… that was quick! A little bit of big news… I got a new kitten last night. His name is Tyrion and I can’t wait to share more photos of him with you guys. This weekend will be low key. Getting a facial, taking some workout classes… and more work/sleep catch-up (and kitty snuggles!) PS – how gorgeous is this look, above? I love the bronzy lids + glossy red lips. So pretty.

I shared a mini fashion week diary on BaubleBar’s blog.

What if Sex and the City ended differently?

Did you see Jimmy Fallon’s latest “hashtag” video? Hilarious.

I have Spring on the brain and really, really want these tortoise sandals.

And this little colorblock bomber jacket is so chic {and under $40!}

Yum – Victoria is always bragging that her husband makes the best margs. She shared the recipe here!

Loved this post from Vahni – some things she wishes she hadn’t waited to do.

I obsessed over Bradley’s red shoes.

As someone who always checks her email from bed, I found this really interesting.

I was impressed by Honestly WTF’s DIY Bar Tray. Also via Honestly WTF: these paintings. So realistic!

Neiman Marcus is having their beauty event. The gift is really, really good. I used this opportunity to try Diorshow Mascara buy my beloved La Mer {It’s a big indulgence, but worth every penny… especially if you use it sparingly. The one oz. jar lasts me about a year and a half because I save it for when my skin really needs it… hangovers, chapped skin when I’ve been blowing my nose too much, and weird dry patches.}

Speaking of beauty, this post made me miss my eyelash extensions. {I just couldn’t handle the cost + time of maintenance – but I still miss them.}

You know how much I love my stripes, so of course I loved Molly’s outfit, here!

And Caroline’s bundled up look is so classic + cozy. You won’t believe where she got her boots!

This jeweled baseball tee is too good {would also make for an easy DIY… hmmm…}

I’ve been feeling a bit lonely lately – I loved these tips for battling loneliness.

    Great picks! And you’re right, that bronze/red lip look is flawless (as beyonce would say)

    This is a tad random to comment on this post but I really want you to know how much I love your fitness columns you’ve been doing. I always lack motivation to get to the gym but your honest take on it has been both refreshing and motivating. Thank you!!
