Happy weekend. Today I’m en route to Cape Cod to spend the whole week with my family. I am really looking forward to it. I grew up on Cape Cod and it’s my happy place. Every summer, we try to rent the same house for a week and when it manages to happen (the whole crew — 8 adults, 3 kids!) it is just the best. I have scheduled blog posts ahead of my trip so there will still be new content here every day. 🙂 I hope you have a great week. PS – yesterday I did a big refresh of my Shopbop hearts page. So many great things for fall.
Weekend Reading, 8.5.23
The Atlantic’s Summer Reading Guide.
I know it’s early to shop for fall but these jeans are exactly what I’ve been looking for.
Just a moment of appreciation for Allie’s beautiful home. I love how she shared the process!
This is a fun read about The Whitney Museum’s Threads social strategy. I love following them, the memes are so clever!
Probably the best “look for less” Bottega dupe I’ve seen in a while.
We love a good bed rot.
This J.Crew silk blouse is one of my favorite recent purchases. It’s on par with much more expensive tops. The pattern!
The best places to eat and drink in LA right now.
How to pair oysters and cocktails.
This square neck vest is chic – and a great price.
I am currently reading The Guest by Emma Cline (it’s great!!) and apparently so is everybody in the Hamptons. The book is set in the Hamptons and the observations and writing are both so smart.
This gold locket is pretty much perfect.
In my cart: the happiest yellow sweater.
Can’t get over this super chic Parisian apartment.
These chunky beaded necklaces are so fun… like candy!
Getting dressed is confusing these days. Wrong shoe theory makes sense.
An expert guide to shopping The RealReal. See also: my guide!
I’ve been really liking these (affordable!) eye gels. Great for puffiness and dark circles.
I am very into this season’s color trends.
Classic Ralph Lauren stripes on sale!
Oh my goodness these crispy smashed potatoes with salmon and caviar sound like heaven. Making them for my next party!
Halloween costume ideas for cats.
My favorite Amazon white tee is back in stock in all sizes. It is $7. I’m not kidding when I say that I like it better than my expensive tees.
A big list of feel good queer romances to watch.
It’s giving Missoni for just over a hundred dollars.
Gwyneth Paltrow’s house is now on Air BnB – what!?
I am very very into the look of this 3d lace shirt dress. It’s equal parts cool and feminine.
The 35 best new books of Fall.
Really good pull-on shorts. You’ll wear them with everything!
How to clean your earbuds.
The gamification of reading is changing how we approach books.
A pretty fall dress at a great price!
The most beautiful libraries in the world.

I can’t quite put my finger on why, but this is one of my favourite weekend reading lists! Such a perfect mix of fun things (especially the tour of Allie Provost’s apartment renovation—she’s new to me!). I think that “airbuds” should be either “earbuds” or “AirPods” but gosh I hope you leave it because I am LOVING and giggling at the 90s movie flashback!
So I love the weekly stripe but just an fyi
When you include links to the Atlantic or the NYT if you aren’t a subscriber, you can’t access
A little frustrating
You can usually read a few free articles per month. I’m sorry, but I do believe in supporting journalism so some of the links I share will be like that. There are so many other great reads though 🙂
I am so glad to hear it! You’re right, I should change that.
I’m feeling very chic right now because I saw the beautiful libraries post all by myself yesterday feels like a celebrity sighting when a familiar link ends up on the strip!!
Hah! Have a great weekend.
