Happy weekend! Can you believe there are only a few days left of August? This summer was the most fun but went by WAY too quickly. This week was a busy one. A few work events (I spoke on a panel last night!), a whole lot of deadlines, fun and family stuff… and my boyfriend got into town last night. We are planning on spending lots of time with my family, getting to the beach, and honestly, being really LAZY. And probably some yummy dinners and wine. I have been saving The Chair to watch with him, it looks really really good. Whatever you are up to, I hope it’s great. XOXO

That list of books that are being made into TV/movies is INCREDIBLE!! So many excellent books.
Right!? I am so excited.
I love the sweet story about the pilot rescuing the cats! One note: there’s a difference between feral and stray cats. Stray cats are people-friendly cats without a home. Feral cats are not people friendly. I don’t think the article used the terms wrong (although it does sound like both cats started as ferals and eventually transitioned more into strays?), I just thought it was a good opportunity to bring it up. I’m particularly passionate about this because many people (including my family) use the words interchangeably in casual conversation, but mislabeling a stray cat as feral makes it MUCH less likely to get adopted. Thanks for a wonderful list, Grace!
