Weekend Reading 8.14.21

Happy weekend! (Hope yours involves a crisp, cold bottle of rosé?) I am in California til Monday night. I got here Thursday night and I am so happy to be here! And I cheated on Delta (I’m really really loyal, this is big) and took the JetBlue direct flight from Charleston to Los Angeles which was honestly such a treat. When you move to a smaller city you really come to appreciate those direct flights… they are few and far between. I don’t know if will keep doing this (I’ve worked hard for my Delta status 😉 ) but it sure was nice. Whatever you are up to, I hope it’s great… and enjoy this week’s links! Oh also: I am currently reading and enjoying this FUN and semi-spicy beach read – it has such a fun plot with a fake Hollywood romance turned real. XO

    Hi Grace,
I read this piece this week, liked it a lot (including the comments), and thought you might too, based on what you’ve shared in the past:

I loved this piece too! Everything AHP writes is so great and I loved this article as a whole… but the character description of Harriet has really stuck with me! I think AHP needs to write some contemporary western fiction.

Thank you for sharing Anne Helen’s piece! I didn’t have a Harriet, but I am well on my way to being a Harriet, and reading this made me look at it in a more positive light.

I have the Amazon navy dress in green floral- bought on a whim and it’s super flattering and cute. No idea why the styling is so odd in the photo but hey that’s Amazon fast fashion listings I guess!
