Happy weekend! It’s another quiet one over here. My sister and her family are back from a trip to London, so we’re all having dinner at my parents’ house tonight. Otherwise, it is the standard summer rotation of books, pool, naps, and writing. Whatever you’re up to, I hope it’s great! Xo

Oh no — I finally hit the mascara jackpot! So, no, I cannot endorse no mascara summer. I have the biggest problem with smudging and raccoon eyes. Glossier lash slick wears well without racooning, but it’s more of an everyday look. So, I just thought I was out of the mascara game and focused on eye liner. Fast forward to this month when I observed that my aging lashes are hardly visible. I went on the hunt for a solution! Enter Merit clean volume tubing mascara. It’s buildable and stays put. It has this weird little brush that gets in there and coats every lash. Which if you don’t have many is helpful, haha. So, I’ll be making up for lost time not wearing mascara and be out there with full lashes this summer. I am also opposed to French pedi — with or without flip flops. Thanks for another great round up, Grace!
To be clear, I am not endorsing it either!!!! I love Glossier lash slick! Merit sent me their mascara and now you have me extra excited to try it. Thanks for the recs. Hope you had a great weekend. Xx
100% agree on you Five Star Weeknd review! I didn’t know I needed that series (and I’m not an Elin Hildebrand reader), but I was surprised and impressed. Loved the casting.
It was so joyful for me. I loved it so much. Agree about the casting, it was perfection!
…and I am currently in a gap year. I planned for it for about 3 years and am simultaneously enthralled with it all and also a bit panicky because I don’t want to go back to my old (intense) career. It might be my pivot year too!
Oh my gosh I love this for you, thanks for sharing. Keep me (us) posted on what happens next!!
I am finally cutting your off from my bookmarks. I signed up, I believe, for your book reviews. You live in a world outside most of us (money, trips, etc.) Good luck to you going forward. I can’t even afford your moisturizers, etc.
OK! Sounds like you did the right thing for you. All the best!
